    Wigun v Wikum

anyone else think that this game only opened up once the new Callum Mcmananman came on. Felt it was a stone wall pen, and of course his turns that enable the cross to Hughes is perfect.

    Bolton

I saw more shocking behaviour on car park about 40 mins after the game outside Macdonalds on middlebrook. A Bolton fan kicked a car and then punched to young kids - must have been aged14 (kids) - who where in the the car (one through window and one through the sunroof) - this fella must have...

    The Future of the Club

I hope 3PL reconsider their earlier decision - as the reason given was the values shown by the old owners where not aligned with their values. Given a change of ownership - I hope they feel that they can restart their relationship.

    The Future of the Club

https://wiganathletic.com/news/2023/june/14/club-statement-a-company-backed-by-mike-danson-acquires-wigan-athletic-football-club/ So happy that this has been concluded. I was getting sick of reading about the doom and gloom. Football was a means of escape, a break from work, family time, a...

    The Future of the Club

can feel a prepack sale coming..... Current owners hand forced by winding up petition - therefore clock ticking. Buyer lined up but not wanting to pay anything like the valuation P21 want - hence deal done with admin before admin so creditors such as HMRC get % paid to them. IMHO

    The Future of the Club

The way I see it is simply.... When you are drowning grab the hand of anyone who is offering to help. Admin is a real prospect, which will potentially lead to the club folding - in my view its hobsons choice situation - even if it buys us another 5-6 months.

    The Future of the Club

Hoping for the best, but as always fearing the worst. This sale has to go through - I don't think we would survive another admin. Further EFL please use common sense - and not apply any more point deductions if this is a genuine sale - don't let the opportunity of the sale be ruined by further...

    The Future of the Club

I am sure there was a commercial rates revaluation which has taken place - this was for April to march this year. I also hope that the club have claimed the relevant support Business Rates Relief: 2023/24 Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Scheme, local authority guidance - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)...

    The Future of the Club

THE £15K + VAT fee was charged to the club for the disciplinary committee having to sit and consider the late payments and to apply the penalty - has that been paid. seems like we are just pouring points and £'s down the drain.

    The Future of the Club

ok - take it that we have not complied with the EFL ruling. further deduction will be given. Is that it? Will the demand for the 125% go away.....or will a further deadline and penalty be applied. Wonder if Talal has paid the fine levied against him? Has the club paid the fees levied by the...

    The Future of the Club

Given that the money (if there is any) needs to be transferred from overseas they would have to be done by TT the cut off for this would be 2pm to 2.30pm If its not transferred by then - to a UK bank - then no chance of it being transferred to EFL account today......

    Questions for tal

I would like to ask Tal how much do we owe HMRC If the vat qtr end was 31/03 then the VAT bill was due on Friday 05th May (had to be paid by 07/05 which was a Sunday) - was this paid? How many creditors are over 60 days and what is that value. Have we been paying PAYE and employee pensions or...

Another one bites the dust! (pt III)

It was probably Scott Twine which made that team good enough - as always you have one chance in football - as soon as a bigger fish spots that talent they move on. 20 goals in that season. MK probably had to sell to fund the club. (dammed if u do and dammed if u dont)

    The Future of the Club

Kenny - there is such a thing as a same day payment that is offered by the banks. This would have enabled payment on Tuesday - so long as we had the funds......Actions speak louder than words......and failed to act again,

    The Future of the Club

I suspect they will look at the costs of running the club v its sale value If 6 months costs in terms of cashflow out of the business are less than the sale value, them we will limp on in the hope that the club can be sold - to at least get some money back. All other costs and cash committed...

    No wages

I hope Wigan athletic applied for the relief scheme for 22/23 - I know not all councils applied the grant to the rates, but I managed to get £110k (maximum allowance) discount on the rates for the company I work for. This scheme is now closed - think it finished end of Sept 2022 The scheme is...

    No wages

Revaluations will have already been done. I know the commercial property of the company I work for was done in Oct and a new rateable value has been given. Just looked for the address of the stadium and found the below Search results - Valuation Office Agency - GOV.UK (tax.service.gov.uk) I...

Season tickets Poll and opinions about off pitch issues.

Now that a statement has been given by Talal I have altered the vote now so that you can alter your view. personally I see nothing in the statement - other than sorry, we messed up - no indication on how the long term funding is in place to keep the club running.
