Vital Football Legend
Northern Ireland not LOI but not sure if I feel a bit burnt by elbouzedi in terms of signing someone who had done well at that kind of level. To be fair he might still come good in England but probably not with us
I think the Isle of Ireland is a pool of untapped footballing talent that we are specifically casting our rod in as part of the strategy to catch young (cheap) players, nurture them and release them to clubs higher up the pyramid.
The whole Irish language tutor thing was designed to help the younger element of that, but whoever is trawling the Irish Leagues is looking at any young fry.
Happy fishing LCFC.
roughan is a good example of this - the cost of bed and board, the salary of a tutor and the wages of a first year pro are nothing compared to the value of selling him on.
Assuming we do.
Only if they've offered him a new contract with better terms than his previous one.everton paid 1.5mill 4 years ago, still only 22. would they expect compensation?
Never mind about an Irish tutor - more like an English tutor! Cannot understand a wordLee bonis... 5!!!!! Year contract
Seems to be a negotiating position on the part of Portadown. Can't say I blame them, there is no reason they shouldn't profit from holding the contracts of good quality players,
Spot on. Five years might be over egging the message though.Absolutely, we'd want us to do exactly the same if it was us selling a talented youngster to a team higher up the ladder...
Whenever young Roughan played 1st team, played as though he'd been with us forever, such confidence, right from 1st minute on field, well done young man and all the very best 9 every game he played for us.
Think I saw somewhere that it had to be issued by 3rd June and only us and Blackpool left to issue theirs in Div. 1Retained list later this week I'm guessing?
