Well the claims for what he would achieve for us, seem a tad unrealistic in his first year, but his former assistant is obvious a big fan of his.....

Ange Postecoglou's former assistant claims the Australian can 'transform' Tottenham within a YEAR - as the Celtic boss emerges as a leading contender for the Spurs job after his heroics in Scotland

Ange Postecoglou has been backed to be a huge hit at Tottenham should the north London club land the Celtic boss this summer.
Mail Sport reported on Wednesday that Spurs are set to step up their pursuit of the 57-year-old after he oversees Celtic's Scottish Cup final against Rangers this weekend, having been turned down by Arne Slot.
The former Socceroos boss has since emerged as the leading contender for the role having earned huge plaudits for his impact since his left-field appointment from Japanese side Yokohama F Marinos in June 2021.

Postecoglou has rebuilt Celtic in dramatic fashion and imposed an eye-catching style of football, while showcasing an eye for transfer market gems such as

'Tottenham is a huge club,' he told the Sydney Morning Herald. 'He took over Brisbane Roar when Brisbane Roar was OK - wasn't big, wasn't huge.

'He took over Australia - we were OK, not that good. And then obviously he took over Celtic - a big club, but not so dominant [at the time]. So he's got this ability to change a good team into a great team.

'Looking at Tottenham, they are a good team, they've got some great players, and I think someone like Ange could change their fortunes in one year, without a doubt.

'If he thinks that is the right job for him ... he's going to dive in and he's going to transform them, and I think they're going to be definitely back in the top four, and have a huge impact in the Premier League.

'If that's what his next step is, I don't think he's going to fear anything. He's not going to ask, 'What if?' He's not that type of person.'

Vidosic also revealed that Postecoglou remains in close contact with Brian Marwood, the managing director of global football at City Football Group, having worked with the Englishman during his time in Japan.

The 57-year-old is the leading contender for the job as Daniel Levy conducts his search
'He's got good connections with the City Football Group, obviously working at Yokohama. He is constantly speaking to Brian Marwood,' he said.

'I know Brian helped with [getting the job at] Celtic as well. I wouldn't be surprised that there may be some pathway for him to maybe even take over at Manchester City one day, once Pep decides to leave.

'If that is the case, then it may be a good outcome for Celtic, because then he may stay there - but with him, you never know. If he gets itchy feet, he's going to jump at the opportunity if there is something for him.'

Naff this guy if his peers are saying things like this:

but with him, you never know. If he gets itchy feet, he's going to jump at the opportunity if there is something for him.'

The position we're currently in we have no worries about anyone jumping our ship. If they do, it obviously means he's left us in a good position. So I've got no worries about that.

The media is picking the pace up as him being our preferred choice; I can only think because perhaps his Aussie connection with our new MD of Football, and to be honest I can find no one anywhere that really knows much about his modus operandi other than what's already been pointed to.

If this was his first appointment for our new 'rebuild Ver3 era' I expect that it would go down like a ton of bricks—whilst the Scottish Prem isn't quite as bad as a pub league, apart from a few games a season, it is hardly an intensive challenging league either.

I just can't see him being appointed.

With the exception of Brenda, who has done OK in England

If you were appoint any of the previous few Celtic managers and say they are in charge of a complete rebuild, you would be laughed out the room.

Winning with Celtic in the current SPL isn't an achievement, it's like winning an u16s league with a mens side, that's how much of an advantage they have.

It will be a massive mistake and would show Levy has learnt nothing.

Cue him being appointed and us winning everything

If we are going for someone from a minor league, go for Knutsen from Bodo, he's rebuilt the team, won the league with underdogs, done incredibly well in Europe, beating Roma twice amongst other teams.

Miles more impressive.

Must admit Asp
They would be my choices, to try to progress.
Both have relative success, aren't up their own ar$ES, but still need something still to prove.

The brand of football, the personality and the passion. Given a little bit of time Postecoglou will be a hit.. Spurs fans aren't happy. Brighton were torn between him and De zerbi. Now imagine they appointed poste and we were in for the relatively unknown De Zerbi. Uproar. It's Risky but I'm convinced with the right alterations to the squad he can set is on a good path. The big name proven winner approach hasn't worked
