At this point, Ill live with that. Didn't think we would get relegated but at 1645 thought that we were doing out best to put ourselves in the mix!

Well that's a relief, lolley our best option going forward had to almost do it all alone.we need another like him on the other side and a couple of goal scorers.

Phew...that should make us safe...but this result mask allot of things...untill the penalty on 88th minute we were never looking like scoring...Ipswich thought it was done and dusted nd just gave up playing by the 75 th minute..but i take the result...allot nd allot of work to do for Karanka in the summer...now let Brudcutt play for the rest of the games..leave watson out if need be...as Colback seems untouchable...nd please no more Tomlin or Dowell on the flanks..from what we have those places belong to Lolley nd Cash...

Don't agree at all that the players weren't playing for him- not sure how you got that impression.

That was a bunch that were on their arses confidence wise and with nowhere easy to aim for. They have forgotten how goals are scored.

We were the better team by far until they scored. I think they scored their first real attack. After that I thought Ipswich controlled the game and looked the better side until the chaos at the end.

It was desperate stuff. Far worse than the other night. We were absolutely hopeless up front, totally devoid of any quality. Every ball went into the box with only Brereton standing still and not moving towards it. No one else was even going into the box. Counter-attacking is a joke- one player breaks and attempts to take on he entire opposition on their own because Brereton doesn't have a clue where to run to and because Tomlin is so slow we would need to take a 5 minute break for him to get forward.

Brereton needs some time out. He missed one of the easiest chances I have seen and his dive was absolutely shameful, and came from him recieving the ball in a shooting position, taking it the wrong way (he did that Tuesday too) and the diving to cover it up.

Absolutely no quality from either fullback again, both are very poor there and as a consequence we are no threat on the wings whatsoever.

That was simply not good enough. Desperate stuff.

Massive changes need making up front because I can't remember a poorer forward line ever. I'd take Eugene Dadi at the moment as he would at least win a header once in 90 minutes.

In my opening post I got the nature of their goal spot on even if I got the player wrong. It was a truly pathetic goal to concede.

Glad I didnt leave at half time (not that I would have) as it was great to win so late, though I still feel like we lost as it hasn't sunk in yet.

Virtually mathematically safe now. We can't be relegated on points anymore. Bolton are 9 points behind us with only 9 points to play for and 15 goals behind us. Worst case scenario is a mission to the Macron to not get absolutely battered

Good to see Bridcutt- I thought he was excellent for his 20 minutes

I thought Guedioura was not as good as Tuesday but was in the wrong position- he should have been in Watson's place. I would like to see Watson and Bridcutt in a 4-2-3-1 and would be tempted to replace Tomlin with Guedioura or anyone else, as Tomlin is too slow to be of use.

The word from Brizzle fans is that Tomlin CAN be a game changer .... when he can be arsed, to get us to where we want to be, we need more than that. Aitor, you’ve got a job to do !!!

Forest have needed an extensive rebuild for some time from the back line, the middle and right through to the front.

A real shake of the bag in the Summer.

Just to have the same manager in charge for two transfer windows and a decent preseason would be progress.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Karanka does this Summer...

SA.

I agree with most of that Popey. The only thing I would say is Gueddy was headless. He got the ball and looked like he had no idea what to do with it. We all know Osborn isnt a left back, hopefully he heard the crowd bemoaning him playing there. Ill be glad when this season is done and I can get the fuck out of the TE. The moaning in there is unbearable. Everyones shit and everyone needs fucking off. Its like being on here but having to pay for it

Just got in from work and seen the score. I can only imagine the game was poor, but big credit to Brereton. Stepping up on the 89th minute and burying a penalty after so long without a goal for him or the team, at 1 down in front of a home crowd? That's some pressure, so well done to the lad for having the confidence and scoring it.

Think the best I can say is that we should be safe now and karanka can properly get on with a team rebuild.

We are safe. We could only be relegated by goal difference from Bolton, who are 9 points behind us with 9 to play for. They need to catch 15 goals on us too.

For the second season in a row we have secured safety with a win at home to Ipswich

Well done Reds. A truly dire game up until those final 5 minutes but that should give them a boost for the final 4 games.

Well done also to Brereton. He was having a stinker and his dive was blatant, but he kept going and showed balls to get up and score the penalty.

Tomlin was a fat sack of shite and the more I see of him the less I think we should spend millions signing him in the summer

Can't disagree with any of that.

Watching Tomlin I can't remember a player we have ever had that is slower.

I was imagining what Billy Davies would have made of a player like Tomlin

Some of us have said it about the useless fat fuck since he came but people love the fact hes reminds them of Reid.
