Peter Atherton who used to manage the development squad at Wigan (before it morphed into mainly under 18s) has become the assistant manager at Barrow AFC. Hopefully the highlight of his career (at Wigan) wont be for being that ex United idiot's message runner at Blackburn away. http://www.barrowafc.com/bluebirds-boss-completes-backroom-line-up/
No goodbye and best wishes on the club website as yet.
Reece James signed for Sunderland yesterday. Such a shame that injuries curtailed his chance in the Championship.
Had his moments at Wigan ... Shame that his injury curtailed his season. Put at Right back for Wigan because of his better ball control and passing. His early games almost always had a shanked ball into the East Stand though.
Looked awful at Bolton whenever I saw him play for them.
Another player to watch out for to see how he develops.
heffield United have been linked with Ipswich Town striker Martyn Waghorn, with Chris Wilder reportedly ready to break the club's transfer record for the second time in one window after signing John Egan for over £4million. However the Tractorboys value the targetman at between £8million and £10million, which Wilder says it outside of United's price range but the clubs are said to still be negotiating in the hope of reaching a compromise.
Yep, agree. Decent on the ball, can cope physically, reasonably mobile. He's another who may go on to have a big move, but before that he needs regular games and to grow in confidence. good luck to him.
One of the two 2016/2017 West Ham "blink and you will miss them loanees" has gone on loan to Oxford United.
Kyle Knoyle ,who injured himself in the pre season, extended his stay at Swindon Town
"Graeme Jones has stepped down down from his role as assistant coach with Belgium and will become assistant to Darren Moore atWest Brom, Sky sources understand.
Jones ends a relationship with Belgium boss Roberto Martinez which started at Swansea before moving on to Wigan, Everton and his latest role." -SS
