Peter Atherton who used to manage the development squad at Wigan (before it morphed into mainly under 18s) has become the assistant manager at Barrow AFC. Hopefully the highlight of his career (at Wigan) wont be for being that ex United idiot's message runner at Blackburn away.

Reece James signed for Sunderland yesterday. Such a shame that injuries curtailed his chance in the Championship.

Had his moments at Wigan ... Shame that his injury curtailed his season. Put at Right back for Wigan because of his better ball control and passing. His early games almost always had a shanked ball into the East Stand though.
Looked awful at Bolton whenever I saw him play for them.
Another player to watch out for to see how he develops.
 
heffield United have been linked with Ipswich Town striker Martyn Waghorn, with Chris Wilder reportedly ready to break the club's transfer record for the second time in one window after signing John Egan for over £4million. Yep, agree. Decent on the ball, can cope physically, reasonably mobile. He's another who may go on to have a big move, but before that he needs regular games and to grow in confidence. good luck to him.
 
Ipswich want upwards of £10mill for Martyn Waghorn & Sheff Utd reckon he's worth an opening bid of £4mill??????????
