Funny that Cook also banned him from 1st team squad and had him training with the youth squad too, before he was loaned out to Oldham. Seems there may be an ongoing issue with Byrne that he is not grown up enough to admit

Regarding some of the players mentioned earlier i believe in some cases (Ellington, Barlow, Roberts and Bullard) there was contract disputes where if you believe the players side of the story the clubs behaved quite poorly and played a big part in them leaving. But in every story there is either parties version and often the truth somewhere inbetween.

But i never heard what McCollouch did, what did he admit to?

Chimbonda was just so stupid, if he would've handed in his teansfer request a week later he probably wouldn't have become such a villain. But we were hurting after a frustrating loss to Arsenal and he dropped that on a fed up dressing room like that was not just poor timing but so disrespectful to his team mates. He wasn't the only player to stab us in the back but I've never heard of anything like that ever happen with any other player at any other club so he gets the crown of biggest snake for that.
