It is not rubbish, leave campaign leaders were naïve and believed that the losers would reluctantly accept the result or the referendum and not use every devious manoeuvre to remain in the EU.
More fool you lot for trusting British politicians. Doesn't make the EU mob seem so corrupt now, does it? As I said, you all could have voted UKIP, but you didn't. It is your own fault that we are where we are.

Voted Remain at the Referendum and not seen any evidence to change my opinion! Goodnight!

The people that are homeless, poor and unemployed whilst we are still in the EU? Will they be more homeless and unemployed when we leave?

Austerity has hit these people the hardest. The last thing they need is brakes on the economy just when there is a chance we might be able to loosen the purse strings a bit.

A hell of a lot have voted Brexit Party at the European elections far more recently, though.

The EU mob are no more or less morally corrupt than the UK politicians. At least we will only be bankrolling one set eventually.

How? by increasing the higher rate taxpayer threshold from £50k to £80k as Boris suggests?

The way to protect the homeless poor and unemployed is to elect a proper non-Blairite Labour government but not enough people care enough to do so.

If you look around the world at all socialist governments of various extremes then they too have homelessness and the unemployed. For all of socialism's mantra that they are the one who care then socialism has a really poor track record of actually helping.

It is nonsense to think that the Tories and their equivalents elsewhere don't care about the poor as it is in their interest to try to bring them out of poverty. Anyone brought out of poverty under a Tory government are more likely vote for them and keep them in power. Meanwhile it is in Labour's interest to keep people comfortably poor as they know poorer people are more likely to vote for them.

Ultimately it comes down to the old misogynistic saying "give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, give a man a fishing rod and he can catch his own fish". Socialism is more about repeating the first part of the phrase while Tories are about trying to create conditions so everyone could get their hands on a fishing rod. Both sides care, but simply have different philosophy to deal with the issue.

Not if I own the fishing lakes and charge a massive fee.

I actually started to read this thread with some interest but stopped early on when I read Boris Johnson being compared to Hitler. ?

The only person to enter the palace of Westminster with honest intentions was Guy Fawkes

Nobody hates foreigners, at least not on here.

Nobody realistically wants nil immigration. That is as bad as the unlimited immigration we have at present from the EU which gives them an unfair advantage over the rest of the world.

Control and independence have historically always been honourable and prudent words. Things to strive for, until of course the EU and remainers decided that was no longer the case.

You do realise that we have unlimited migration to anywhere in the EU. Also unlimited and unrestricted job opportunities and settlement rights in all EU countries.

I have not accused anyone on here with anything. Mearly that the race hatred we now have could if it is increased lead to very serious problems. The fact that many have already received death threats shows this is not something that can be dismissed as normal. The fact that people who believe we should stay in have almost certainly been told that if we did there would be wide spread violence. The UK was of major importance to previous Prime ministers. Now the premier seems happy to carve up our Great Britain for his own benefit.
