Why can’t Paul Cook land a job

By the time he left (or rather we went in to administration) we had a great squad & were playing great football. Who knows what would have happened had they been allowed to stay together?
But there's no way that the fans and owners of Ipswich will put up with some of the dross that was served up in the season and a half before that

New manager appointed at Portman Road

Paul Cook is the new manager of Ipswich Town.

The former Portsmouth and Wigan boss has signed a contract until the summer of 2023 and becomes the 18th manager in the Club’s history.

Good luck Paul see you later this month 27th March

Same here, wish Paul nothing but the very best down there (27th March apart), if they give him time, he'll get them going and they'll do well. As for coaching staff etc, he's taken Robbo back there as first team coach working alongside one of their existing coaches

Good luck to him now let the final exodus begin

Home and car owners in Suffolk furious as insurance premiums spike following news of the imminent arrival of a bunch of scousers

Who knows what dross he would have reverted back to if starting a new season. Same old boring crap until the new year. Martinez actually played some nice stuff towards the end of 2011/12 but reverted back to the dire drab rubbish in 2012/13.

Correct.
Cook, just like Martinez before him, seemed to be at odds with his own tactics a lot of the time, whether that was an unconscious lack of belief, I don't know, but when it worked, it really was bloody sublime!

Ah ......... the dross of Goodison Park and, of course, 11th May.

To be fair, you could counter that with the 9-1 defeat against Spurs and the 8-0 defeat against Chelsea.
When it worked, it was a dream to watch... Sadly, that wasn't often enough...

Nah, I was specifically referring to games within the timeline stated by Jeff's Right. Those two games were years earlier.
