Takeaway from our local Turkish place tonight. Calamari and lamb and chicken koftas with rice for me, feta pastry triangles and seabass with rice for the Mrs. Pitta and houmuss (sp?) to share. Lots left though so same again tomorrow night methinks.

Last night we had what could have been one of our traditional Friday evening pub meals - scampi and chips with peas and salad. Pudding would deffo not have been served in pub - a Mrs S lemon meringue pie

Lunch today: bubble-and-squeak with added cabbage, brussel sprouts, fried onion and cheese.

Tea: the rest of the beef stew with bread.

Pre-match meal was a frozen ready meal (Wiltshire as usual) of cod in cheese sauce, potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower.

Picked up some fresh cod today, so cod in breadcrumbs, pureed potatoes and peas. Another slice of birthday cake later with a cup of tea.

Spaghetti carbonara tonight made with chicken breast as an extra ingredient and loads of black pepper. Italian Pinot Grigio blush with.

Brown rice paella with yoghurt marinated chicken, kidney beans, peppers, mushrooms, celery, tomatoes and aubergine. Gutsy Italian rose to complement!

I would have enjoyed the takeaways more, they would have fuelled by running challenge! She has promised a roast dinner tomorrow and has plans to bake ... something sweet soon too. What, I have no idea!
