Terror Attacks

Devastating attack, shameful. If it was a Muslim attacking a church my Facebook feed would be filled with all sorts.

A guy I work with (Bangladeshi) was saying it could be him next in one those half joking-half serious ways.

This is why I consider myself a humanist.

Knowing many everyday Muslims does help you reach a humanist viewpoint. I also think I am one.

Trump says White Nationalism is not on the rise. He also used the same terminology as the shooter to describe immigrants, just after discussing the shooting.

The man has no shame.

They were saying he was a socialist on Breitbart, so I had to find out what he said, to counter it. He actually calls them anti white scum.

Never get the truth get in the way of a cover up.

Never let the truth get in the way of anything with Breitbart has been my take away. Having given them a fair crack I've stepped away from reading now for my own blood pressure reasons.

They wouldn't know ethical journalism if it was written on their face. Every outlet has bias granted, but not outright invention.

A lot of conflicting information, and the blame game in full in effect. And apparently that was his ultimate goal.

Not to mention of course that fact that he streamed it all live on Facebook and millions are watching the video now as if it's fucking entertainment.

I actually prefer Orwells dystopian future over whatever sad shit show this has become.
 
I haven't read his manifesto or seen the video. Fuck those guys. I hope they shoot those ***** in the back of the head and dump the bodies in the tip.
 
Well, it looks like there has been a purge. Every copy of the manifesto is now missing. I suppose it's for the best. No point spreading more hate.
 
As many of you know, I spent 4 -5 years in Indonesia..... which is about 95% muslim.

Now, because it is a muslim country and quite insular until it comes to a natural disaster, I can tell you that Christian churches get attacked regularly, but never makes the International news. Indeed, when I was there I know for a fact that one particular church has security outside while services are held. Others have had smalls bombs thrown into the churches. Killing and injuring but we never hear of it.

Don't get me wrong, I abhore what happened in Christchurch. If only we could all live together in peace and respect the other persons' beliefs but sadly there are always a few idiots on all sides. It's happened going back through the centuries.

That's why you'll find I rarely say anything regarding politics and religion, because it causes too much hassle generally.
 
Many right wingers are claiming he is a socialist and environmentalist, so I had to read all of it to counter their arguments.

There is only one clear message - Muslims are outbreeding whites, and that's bad!!! Everything else is a mess of contradictory rubbish.

'The white race' is outbreeding the Japanese. Perhaps the Japs should start shooting up churches?

The idea that Islam is under attack by Christianity is pretty common here and across the Muslim world. Of course, it's ridiculous but that kind of demagoguery works (as we saw with Trump) and idiots like those 3 nuggets in Christchurch only make it worse. As you said, hate feeding hate.
 
Yup it's the flipside of the coin based on perception and whilst the illogically founded hate continues, nothing will change.
