Season tickets

79imp - why not go in the VIP lounge for the games you can make before you go? I think it's £40 or £42 - same as you said average cost for season ticket for those games - plus you get a cushion, hot drinks and some food! Assuming they're still doing the VIP lounge with the introduction of the legends lounge?

Not so much negative, just a wee bit frustrated... and I guess also a bit sad that circumstances dictate that I won't be able to see my beloved Imps in anything like a decent seat for the foreseeable future. Cooped up in the corner of the Stacey West next to the away fans isn't particularly appealing, nor is having the Stacey West goal obstructed by the Selenity Stand's posts, but needs must, and if that's what it's got to be, that's what it's got to be. Should have renewed and swallowed the extra cash. Even with it working out at £40 a game, the value is decent compared to the Premier League where there is more often than not a completely sterile atmosphere and you're watching knowing your hard-earned £50+ is going toward some foreign mercenary's latest Ferrari or swimming pool.

Will be interesting to see how things are with buy-back. I dare say there's been quite a few buying up STs even if they know they're going to miss a good number of matches (as was the case with me last season as I knew I was going to miss the first couple of months of the season).

Anyway, first and foremost, it's brilliant that there is so much interest in the club and that we will again have a packed Sincil Bank week-in, week-out next season, and in the most part, my post was supposed to be musing on where we take things from here, and also on the crucial matter of ensuring we don't have potential new fans (and existing ones) locked out of the ground in the seasons to come. No doubt all of this is very much on the minds of Liam, Clive and co as the season progresses. I for one will be very interested to see how the Legends Lounge pans out because it will certainly grate if we have a big pocket of empty seats there in every game because the prawn sandwich brigade hasn't shown up in the numbers expected.

On STs remaining, I haven't counted up all the coloured dots, but if you take the Legends Lounge out of the equation, I'd be surprised if there's much more than 50 seats left available. Incredible stuff and shows that we've kicked on yet again after last season's exploits.

Don’t know how buy-back works, but I have 2 season tickets for Legends that will be available sometimes...

Have just clicked on the season ticket purchase link on Eventbrite and counted up how many remain:

BM: 86, of which 40 are designated disabled seats

Co-op: 347
L1: 139
L2: 24
L3: 1
L6: 5
L7: 65
U1: 38
U2: 75

Selenity: 7

That makes 440 remaining for season ticket purchase. I think the intention is for the rest of the BM and the home section of the SW to be for non-season ticket holders on a match-by-match basis.

Perhaps I could suggest to the club a similar scheme for exiles and people who work a lot of weekends the FPS ticket scheme helped about 80 fans obtain a guaranteed match ticket per month.
We have a supporters board meeting Monday.
The FPS scheme helped so many fans out but this time it will have to be club run.
That is unless the club are going to do a membership scheme.

The club will probably run a by back scheme for heavily supported games, and could increase that to all games. So that will be a win win for club and ST holders as well as occasion supporters.

The Junior Imps have moved out of the Co-op into the Bridge-McFarland, so not much of that will be available for purchase on the day to non-Junior Imps members, although a good proportion of those will buy on the day .

I can't agree with holding back 500-1000 tickets from season tickets. Not many businesses will swap a guaranteed years sale with the possibility of selling on a week by week basis

Only lower one in the Coop and block six of the BM stand are for JIC season tickets. The rest of the BM stand is matchday JIC tickets which are sold towards the selenity stand any unsold blocks go on general sale, not sure when the cut off for sales in the JIC will be so they go on general sale.
I notice there's a block of seats in between the co-op and bm stand now.

Well, I'm certainly in that catagory as I live near the south coast. I can afford to buy a season ticket but what is the point if I can only make a half dozen home matches a season. I don't want to leave an empty seat most weeks. After LCFC my wife is the most passionate thing in my life. I would never make it in time for evening games. Most matches, when transport, accomodation and a weekend on the razzle are added up cost 2-£300 quid. If you add away matches, I probably spend more than most season ticket holders following my beloved Imps. But, season ticket holders get all the benefits. I understand the mechanics of the economics and accept that the club is more imprtant than me. Is there an answer to exile issues? I don't know but I believe that supporter groups should incorporate a spokesperson who could specialise is exile concerns.

Definitely need something to help exiles with tickets, after all the club chairman is an exile now.

Don't think Clive will have an issue with getting tickets though.

Btw as Nick mentioned earlier there will be buy back available from his ST and may be others as well.

Well you have 2 trust members on the board! And a supporters board with jules ,helgy and gary (df) on it! Contact them to express your concerns!

I’m an exile. I have a season ticket and miss around 5-6 homes games a season. It goes to mates when I’m not there and I don’t expect any special treatment from the club to ‘compensate’ me. No-one forced me to buy one.

Totally agree I’ll miss two in August and possibly one or two round Christmas. That’s my problem as I know we play every Saturday and occasional Tuesdays when I get one.

Strictly speaking I believe that STs are non-transferrable, then again there seems to be no news about a rebate for matches missed in 17/18.

Is it a myth that STs are non transferable. I know several ST holders who pass theirs onto others when they can't go, me included. Surely if anyone owns a ST they can allow anyone to use it as long as they are in the same category. I know some fans of a top premier league club who have a part share in a ST and 4 lads share 2 STs and I have used it when none of them can go and City haven't a game.
Never been arrested yet.

5. This season ticket admits the valid holder only and is not transferrable to any other person.

However I qualified my post with “Strictly speaking..” to indicate the reality you have expressed.
