Its amazing they can get away with it, contracts need to be written better but the competition is too strong for real change and reform.

Crypto and smart contracts might change that. There should be clauses, consequences and reasonable opportunities accounted for in every contract. Fine them egregious stuff like this and honestly increases to releases clauses should be added for stuff like this as well as performance bonuses.

Take Watkins there, 1MM on his release for every goal he scores. I don't know how it would work but there should be some innovation in this field.
