Holiday?

Hot places hmmm, i reckon Megan Fox's jean shorts is the hottest place you could get, bet that would cost a bomb though tbh

Cape Verde was recommended to me for this time of year. Also how about Mexico, try the Riviera Maya as there are some great hotels there.

not sure mate, going to order my next car this/next week, might see how far I go with that and then go to Solihull travel agent. Or might wait until the new year now. In two minds really, fancy a break but think I might get bored if I go!

i'd do anything for a break... im bored in work, and would prefer to be bored on a beach looking at bikinis, then i suppose i wouldnt be bored. ya get me bro?

:14:

Might well treat myself, as said, waiting to go to Solihull for the car and then will pop to that specialist travel agent, see what the options are.

good idea... i went away a few days this year to pollensa in majorca in a hotel called pollensa park (google it and look on trip advisor) . was very good with lots to do. but im not sure this time of year will be very good weather wise....

also Bradley wiggins visits the hotel on a regular basis every year to cycle. His bike that he won the tour de france is hanging up in one of the restaurants... (pointless information lol)

yeah, only hot hot hot will make me go so it will be further afield if I go, just not sure I want a long haul flight so we'll see!

Yeah,you've already said mate!!!!!!!

:17: :17: :17:

Will add to the list to ask the travel agent and then not book I think!!

Well, I've booked.

Tried for Dubai but it was coming up £2500 - £3000 for the week. Travel agent said it is because it is last minute, if you book in advance the flights are less etc.

Cape Verde there wasn't the availability.

Nearly booked the place in Egypt deano mentioned but she then suggested another Red Sea resort and I've gone for it. 5 star, adults only hotel, luxury spa, 98% satisfaction rating, the lady not serving me overheard and said it is pure luxury.

Price good because people are avoiding Egypt at the moment obviously.

I could have gone tomorrow but I don't have the energy to be rushing around to get stuff ready, so going next Friday.

Should be a welcome break I think!

Nice one mate.

That is part ofthe Tropicana Group of hotels, which ours was kind of a part of too.... (it was part of that group when we booked, but then got bought out and made independent before we travelled hence all the building work)

Anyway, I think all the Tropican hotels in Egypt have fab ratings so I'm sure you will love it -

Apparently quite a new complex, nice beach etc, so I should be able to get a bit of much needed chill time.

I'm quite excited I think. Still seems strange going in my own but actually, for what I need, should be a good time to just switch off. I intend to have a few massages that is for sure!

Very jealous Jonothan.

My holidays for the foreseeable future will be spent in static caravans in wales, family residences in Ireland and hopefully a few others around the british isles.

I have already toyed with booking Lapland though!! I guess a holiday surrounded by thousands of excited kids in around -30 degrees temperatures probably wouldnt be what you're after in a holiday?

yeah, -30 degrees, would be the death of me I think!

Heat soaks into my busted ribs and must admit, does help. Also perfect timing as it will be the end of a particular weight training cycle, so I can rest and recover.

Thanks astonion, I did wrestle with it, saw what you posted obviously, but as this is just a switch off break to get some heat and relaxation, I should be fine. I'm pretty self contained!
