Jamie Devitt - Barrow (out of contract) to Carlisle U. ( free). He played in a league game and an FA Cup game for us whilst on loan in 2012. Wasn't he at Barnstoneworth United too? ;)

Nigel Lonwijk - Wolves to Plymouth A. (loan). He played for the Millers as a trialist in pre-season , July 2022.

Gavin Gunning - Chesterfield to Swindon Town as player-coach. He played 21 league games for the Millers in 2010. Decent, if injury-prone full-back /defender, if I remember correctly . Played for the Millers at Wembley when we lost (unusual, I know) to Dagenham and Redbridge... they were always a bit of a bogey team.

He didn't look fully fit in our final game of last season at Gillingham. He was substituted, George Kelly came on and the rest is history! Don't know if it is the same injury.

Chesterfield drew 2-2 at Dorking today, with their recent signing , Ollie Banks, playing IN GOAL for over an hour! The real Chesterfield keeper was sent off fairly early in the game and the Spireites had no keeper on the bench. "Young Banksy" was not as good as Trevor Womble, even though his name fits! (England keeper Gordon Banks started his professional career at Chesterfield)

The game when Womble came on as sub and went in goal was against Chesterfield at Millmoor 08/12/75. McDonagh had been carried off with a broken leg. Teams were only allowed one substitute back then. Trev kept a clean sheet and the Millers went on to win 2-0!

National League transfer round up (July/August 2022)...

Joe Widdowson has been released by Barnet (full-back who played 3 games for the Millers on loan from West Ham in 2008)

Anthony Forde - Oxford U. to Wrexham (free, two year deal). Played over 100 games for us.

Lee Camp - Ex- Millers keeper has been released by Wrexham.

Reuben Reid - Yeovil Town to Weston-super-Mare (free). 41 league appearances for the Millers, 18 goals. He seems to like the West Country.

Martin Woods - the ex-Millers peroxide-blonde midfielder has been released by HalifaxTown

Rarmani Edmonds-Green - Huddersfield T. to Wigan A.( loan). One of the Millers 2021/22 promotion squad.

Joshua Koroma - Huddersfield T. to Portsmouth (loan) . Played five league games for the Millers in 2020 , on loan . Didn't score any goals for us alhough he has scored a few for the Terriers. There are reports that we were interested in signing him again, but he chose Pompey instead. Looked vaguely ok, nothing special, when we had him on loan before.

Greg Halford - Colchester United to Hashtag United (of Isthmian League North) on a free transfer.
How much was he supposed to be worth when with us?
Same age as Woody!

Chris Maguire - Lincoln City (out of contract) to Hartlepool U. He is also facing an FA betting rules investigation. Wouldn't have been good enough for us at this level.
There are quite a few transfers still going on though.
