Ex-Millers on the move

Jake Hastie has moved to Hartlepool from Rangers - have a vague feeling he was called back from his loan with us and went to another Scottish team (?)

He went on another loan to Motherwell. then a loan to Partick Thistle. He hasn't scored a single league goal since leaving the Millers! Puzzling, given that thunderbolt at Sunderland - was it really just a fluke? It didn't look like it...

No, it definitely looked like he knew where he was putting it.

Kelle Roos - Derby County to Aberdeen (free).
The Dutch keeper made four Championship appearances for the Millers, plus one game in the League Cup.
He was a bit of a shocker. Hard to judge his quality as a keeper - always seems to have a glaring error in him. That said he seems a very decent guy and I really hope it works for him in Scotland.

Ben Purrington - Charlton Ath. to Ross County [Scottish Prem.] (free transfer).
Bit of a surprise... he would probably have been ok for us! Ross County is on our "international scouting radar" though , so who knows what may happen in the future. :p

Radio Sheffield saying Carlton Morris is about to move from Barnsley to Luton Town , allegedly for £2 million! He's injury-prone and hardly ever scores (except against us, obviously) . Why are the transfer fees that we get for players always so low?

Transfer now confirmed by Radio Sheffield (undisclosed fee)

Radio Sheffield :

Reece James has moved from Blackpool to Sheffield W. on loan. Think they are trying to collect the whole set! Trev Womble and Dave Gwyther can probably still "do a job" :p

Also ...
Phil Walker - coach at Centre Parcs (Sherwood Forest ) to coach at Chesterfield FC Academy. Surprised that he hasn't been signed by the Owls too!. :p
From what he said, Centre Parcs has been recently been taken over by another company who now only want to do "fun" sporting events, so they have got rid of most of their specialist qualified coaches, or put them on part-time contracts. it's cheaper! Sounds familiar...

Tom Lawrence - Derby County to Glasgow Rangers (free).

Played 6 league games for the Millers on loan in late 2014. Scored one goal. The Welsh international had a penalty saved at Blackpool, in a game that we dominated, but finished with a disappointing 1-1 draw. He was a bit of a hot-head and I never rated him after that!

Stephen Brogan - Stalybridge Celtic to Sheffield FC (free)

Josh Morris - Salford C. to Motherwell (free transfer)

Midfielder who played on loan for the Millers in the 2012/13 season. Five League 2 appearance for us , plus one in the FA Cup (no goals). Thougth that he was ok at the time.
He has spent most of his career in League 1.

Ian Henderson - Salford C. to Rochdale f(ree transfer).

Striker who played for the Millers on loan in 2006-7. 18 league appearances (quite a few would have been as sub), one goal. He's roughly the same age as Woody .

Scott Loach - Chesterfield to Derby County (free)
Slightly surprised to find that the ex-Millers keeper only played four games for us in 2014/15 . The rest of the time he was on loan at Bury (whatever happened to them?), Peterboro' , etc.

I thought he'd played a lot more than that too.
