EU strategy to destroy the Chequers ‘agreement’...

Owen "only a madman would leave the single market" Paterson, Brexiteer MP, in interview yesterday asked why the fuss about leaving the EU? He went to say that the UK trades with the rest of the world under WTO terms. Typical MP comment and straight out of GBN's lack of knowledge book on what that means. There are two flaws as GBN will point out: [1] the UK trades under the umbrella of the EU's agreements and negotiated terms of trade and [2] a vast chunk of our trade is with the EU which is tariff-free and would not be post-Brexit. That element of trade subject to tariffs post-Brexit is dismissed by Shotshy as being a bit of a nuisance along the way.

Ps, GBN not racist but bad attitude re EDL style behaviour towards Soubry, reminded me of VG's writings.

I think it is WayneKerr not VG that you are thinking about. He is the one that is always calling people with different views "Nazi".

And perhaps some might like to reconsider their use of the word traitor. The problem with casual misuse of such words is that nothing is left when you encounter the real thing.

Fair comment
Now that those yellow jackets have confessed/been found out to having right/far-right sympathies, who knows if another Thomas Mair could be among them? An MP last night received a death threat because he voted against the Govt. This is not democracy.

He probably thinks he is, yes. He probably needs to look up "facist" and "Nazi" in the dictionary.
A facist is a person who believes in an authoritarian and nationalistic society, who favours a dictatorial regime and is against any form of opposition. A nazi is a description of the traits of fascism; so, one can see where VG and you are coming from. Now I'll look up those words.

According ton the BBC, "The new Grieve amendment, now passed by MPs, means that in the event the PM loses next week, the Commons will then have a chance to vote on alternative policies - everything from a "managed no-deal" to a further referendum, via a "Norway option" or a reheated version of the current deal, could be on the table." This is the sort of discussion that should have been held prior to the referendum in order that a proper exit plan be conceived and considered by the electorate. Obviously, there would never be a consensus among Brexiteers, which is why we are in chaos to-day. As the likes of the ERG are still proposing a Canada+ type agreement, then delaying the departure date is inevitable. Strictly speaking, if May loses the vote next week there should be a general election.

Can't see a GE now that we have the FTPA unless the Tories were confident of winning it though there is talk of them having a GE just after the 29 March - I suppose the many misguided could bask in the wonderful utopia they expect in the future.

But Labour might tear itself apart if there was a GE soon - most of the party wants another vote whilst Corbyn hates the idea of one and would be really pleased to see us leave the EU.

What they all fear is the LibDems putting up a candidate in each constituency - that could split the Tories, Labour and UKIP

Rees Mogg is now beside himself - we must leave he says because that's the will of the people. It's not a sentiment he used in May's vote of confidence; she won 200 to 117 and yet he said she should resign - he didn't use the same sentiment when the referendum result was 52% - 48%. Now, he's really got confused about votes "Arch-Brexiteer Jacob Rees-Mogg has branded the meaningful vote on Theresa May‘s Brexit deal “meaningless” as the historic debate gets underway in the Commons against a backdrop of severe uncertainty over the entire process. A five-day debate is kicking off on Tuesday in the Commons over the Brexit deal, culminating in a so-called meaningful vote on Tuesday 11 December, but the Government is facing mounting issues that are making the chances of the deal passing increasingly unlikely. Brexiteer Jacob Rees-Mogg told the BBC’s Newsnight programme on Monday night: “The meaningful vote has never been meaningful its always been meaningless.""

The evil EU is at it again as it prepares "Right to Repair" Legislation to Fight Short Product Lifespans. First, these horrible people told us to have less powerful vacuum cleaners, which are now as it happens more efficient than ever before. Now we're being told that we have to buy gadgets that can be repaired; this is outrageous! Not that we make any gadgets of note in the UK.

The left and msm seem to be excited tonight.
Clutching at any straw within reach.
May's deal or no deal
Welcome to reality
