10 Points behind Lincoln

Wycombe are wandering around in awe of being there, really hope that if we go up we put up way more of a fight than them, granted they're a direct side who are getting found out most matches.

You really believe we can finish top 2?

We can but we are not good enough too.

To what? Use the correct spelling of to? Christ it isn't difficult. Three choices two, to or too. The answer is to.

How bloody self-righteous. Only halfway through the season, sitting two points outside the POs with two games in hand and they are already writing off their season. Imagine how bad they’d be if they were allowed to have crowds in and they would be on the players and managers backs. Real true supporters 🤬🤬

Imagine Lincoln in the championship man.

think Wycombe have done bad. Not got much faith in our ability to stay up have they.
I think the poster makes a very good point when they are incredulous at 'imagine' Lincoln in The Championship.

What on earth would the other clubs imagine indeed, if a well run, professional, transparent club with integrity, rocked up in their midst. A club that put the (old) values of football and it's community at the heart of what it does. Yes, I can imagine it would boggle their minds.

On the Hull forum, the majority are still dead against McCann and would like him replaced. They still don’t think he is right for them after last seasons woeful finish, even though they have been a force this time around.

It’s nice to see some of these ex Prem teams showed up by pub teams like us!

The problem was last season they sold best player or players in the winter window and nobody bought in.

Well, seeing as they cling to history (even if its in the 19th Century) with such defiance, I thought it imperative that they should take all aspects of it into account.

Yes, isn’t it funny how some fans only take ‘history’ from a certain point in time. There’s a certain club up the road that seem to constantly witter on about better days in Tier 2. Means fuck all now when they’re scratching around the bottom of Division 4.

Ipswich are the specialists at this.

Yes, but looking at their attendances back them, the locals didn't bother supporting them then either, despite huge away followings from South Yorkshire and West Midlands.

As you may have seen earlier @Norfolk Imp I'm not keen at all on fans of rival clubs posting on any team's boards. We've seen it here and does anyone really think it constitutes banter?

It's always annoying, unwelcome trolling and makes that person (and by association his club) look a right dick.

As for Lincoln City's history, lets look at another way. For all but 24 years of a very long history this club has been in the bottom division of English League football and for 10 weren't even it, including the 3 years we were voted out.

Our historic level therefore, is Division 4.

If I was that bad or insulting, I would be banned .... but to date I've not been, so I therefore add balance to an otherwise one-sided debate.

Absolutely.

I had a quick squiz at the said forum/thread - one poster who I assume is an Imp even went as far as saying that Lincoln is further north than Manchester. Unless I have missed the tectonic plates moving recently, it falls squarely in the above.
