Because, of course, it's easier to try to rewrite history ( with the new agenda of reparations & paying for our mistakes- "where there's (perceived ) blame there's a claim" - surprise, surprise) but are helpless to deal with anything happening today.

Karim Benzema, France striker is out of the World Cup after he sustained a thigh injury in training. Big blow for the fella & France. UTB
 
That's really shit. He deserved this opportunity more than anyone.

Big players missing out is one of the most disappointing aspects of any major tournament. Happens every time. Nkunku is another who misses out who deserved better after an outstanding season or two.

Interesting that France are also without Pogba and Kante. Can see Guendouzi starting - and that would be richly deserved.

Great shade balance. Nice 50/50 ratio. Just as they want us to imagine the country to be.

It's simply embarrassing at this point how they keep wheeling out Alex Scott, and she is utterly oblivious to it. Just keeps snaffling the cash, depriving many other pundits (and presenters) of opportunities.
 
If this is how it's going to carry on then they shouldn't be bothering with football pundits at all. Would have been better off with political commentators.
