A salad tonight with scotch egg, pork pie and haslet with piccalilli. Too hot to put the oven on so saving the quiche for later in the week

Today was a frozen ready meal (Wiltshire) - cod in a white wine, basil and parsley breadcrumbs sauce with boiled potatoes, carrots and broccoli.

A simple meal tonight: salad with a cajun burger. The sald was made with tomatoes and peppers from our garden.

One of Mrs N.'s creations tonight. Julienned squash, apple and sliced onion stir-fryed with lemon zest, juice and fresh thyme. Served with a za'atar encrusted baked chicken-breast.

I forgot to mention lunch: home-made broccoli and cheese soup. Mrs N. had cheddar in hers and, according to her, I had "mouldy blue stink-cheese" in mine.

Today was a Birds Eye original quarter pound beefburger with chips and mushy peas.
