Thats about right. From what I can gather, he is incredibly patchy live, sometimes inspired, sometimes awful. Sounds like you got the awful!
Not a performer for the neutrals.

I saw Queen Circa 73-74 at the Odeon in Birmingham New Street, and yes, a very good live band, musically and energy wise.Best gig I've ever been to was Queen at the NEC on their Works album tour.
Freddie Mercury's voice live is something I will never forget. Pitch perfect.
Sorry to hijack this great thread with my own personal comments.......
No apologies needed. Music is all about emotion, memories and what not. Keep them coming my good man.
Thank you JF.
I appreciate the comment from you given the circumstances.
Whatever..........
UTV!
About the same time a bird I fancied said she had two tickets to see Elton John at the same venue, but couldnt go, and I could have the ticket for free if I took her sister.Wow, must be quite something to say you've seen Queen play live.
I don't think I'll ever get close to that. My biggest and best was Metallica in 1999 at the old Point Depot in Dublin before it became the O2 and before Metallica lost the plot.
This thread would disappear without you mate.Sorry to hijack this great thread with my own personal comments.......
I just find it sad that so many of my favourite musicians are no longer with us. So many were an inspiration to my music career when I was younger.
This is not really in keeping with the musical tastes of the thread but I love it. It's a guaranteed speeding ticket if you play it in the car.
Tell us about your music career.
It's Friday and time to peace the f*ck out.
And with all the political bull flying around, why not have a bit of this!!
You're as bad as me you old rocker
All Mod Cons is my favourite The Jam album I think.
If I get a chance, I'll fuck up your life...!
