The Matty Cash Thread

Terrific performance from Matty Cash (again) yesterday. MotM yes, got to be up there for PotS too.

Certainly how he handled Pepe yesterday (who is on his best form apparently) was a show of what a player he's becoming.

I suppose you could say, Pepe got no change out of Cash.

He does both bits well (going forward and defending), is clearly a good athlete and has the sort of tenacity and bite in him that I love in a fullback.

I was a sceptic when we first signed him and early doors wasn't massively impressed but he has come into his own at this stage and is looking like one of the more complete right backs in the league. Happy to say I was very wrong regarding Cash.

I really like him. He just has so much energy. I wondered why we needed another rb in the summer but he's been superb.

Yes. Might not be as bad because he did it turning awkwardly rather than one that goes when running at a sprint which always seem to be at least 6 weeks.

Cash being out will be a big miss if he's out for a few games, but I have full faith that Elmo will do the job in his absence. As much as I don't dislike Freddie G, I don't think he offers anything from an attacking/support perspective, so for me, Elmo is a better option even if Freddie was still here.

Konza played right back last season and did it very well , but at the moment that would mean Engels playing centre half.
