Rolling Specubollox Thread

Nice tweet from him yesterday pledging allegiance to the flag etc and saying that he wasn't bothered about going out on loan since he enjoyed training alongside players he'd grown up idolising - VK4 and Merlin for example.

So what would we like to see tonight?

Much as I would like to see the dippers fall on their faces and end up in the Ropey League playing on Thursdays and Sundays (catch up) that would allow Klopp to rest his first team picks.

On the other hand their continued presence in the knock out rounds will maintain the pressure on their squad

the Ropey League would be good.

Europa please, pride won't let him rest too many in that comp, they'll be playing after us every week so pressure comes into play more and I really want to laugh at them with their pedigree, royalty and all that other insufferable nonsense.

Welcome young Jack

City have reached an agreement with MLS side Columbus Crew SC over the future transfer of goalkeeper Zack Steffen.

Regarded as one of the outstanding talents in America, the 23-year-old will join City in the summer of 2019 on a four-year deal. He will remain a Columbus Crew SC player for the early stages of their 2019 MLS Eastern Conference campaign, which begins in March, before officially becoming a City player in July.

Well, that's sounds like a good plan. Remove any of the back up full backs entirely. :013:

Unless there is a plan to bring others in (which I doubt)
Reports we are looking at the Fox's LB Chilwell, but as Pep says we are not buying anyone, so just Specubollox

Pep’s stance on this January’s window is very interesting. The club must be absolutely sure we’re not facing a transfer ban.

Players seem to require a bedding in period to get used to our style of play ie Sane, Laporte and to a lesser degree Mahrez as he'd have to be a hell of a player to dislodge RS7 - so not sure Chilwell could be seen as a quick fix for Mendys' latest injury - plus how long is Mendy out for and what happens when he is fit and you have two international players vying for one specialist position? I suppose it is wishful thinking to imagine there is a younger player at the club who can step up if required?
