Oxford tomorrow

Sam Winnall? Surely not? How much are they paying him?

It is Sam Winnall, but injuries have taken their toll and his form has completely gone, his stock has dropped in the last 3 or 4 years since he left Barnsley. He's only scored 11 goals in the past 4 seasons combined, when you consider he had 11 in the first half of the season that Barnsley sold him it's a harsh come down. He is also going to be 30 soon, so he's not got a lot going for him like he once did.

Its a poor workman that blames his tools. I blame the players shortcomings more than the out going manager even though he was no Cloughy.

Think it's a combo of both. A good manager would work out a way to get more out of a limited set of players than Sheridan did. But with the team we've currently got and the unforced suicidal mistakes they keep making i think even Guardiola and Klopp would struggle to get that much more out of them.

We have to learn very quickly to hold onto leads, when we get in front,
we were 2-0 up against Chorley, we went down to 10 men then we went to pieces and lost 2-3.

We need some players to take charge of the team, while they are on the pitch,
and can control the tempo of our game, we are giving the opposition far too much time and space, before we try to stop them.

Confident Gav is the man to step up here 🤣

Thats the problem Springy, the injuries have robbed us of the experienced players who would have the nouse to see the games out.

We are struggling to string more than 4x passes.
We really are a shyte team but they do appear to be trying.

So lucky to be still in this game, just dont look like we can score so hoping for a 0-0 at best.
Jones, James & Tilt doing okay.

54% pass completion. 34% in the attacking half. Here lies the problem.

No problems with effort so far though. Leam is getting ten times as much from the lads as Sheridan was. Still all to play for.
