Cook really needs to go after that. I haven’t called for his head one since he took over. You can just see the writings on the wall though. Our mentality is all wrong, it’s clear when he speaks to the media. We think we’re ‘little Wigan’ and we should bow down to all the other clubs. Boro were shite but Cook will probably say something positive about them. We should learn something from the Leeds game. A lot of their players aren’t household names. The manager has improved them and is getting everything he can from them. He also wants them to play decent football.

Recently made the decision to not go games 150+ miles away because this manager is fucking clueless tactically. We started the game well, for 20 minutes we were on top, then 70 minutes of bollocks.

This manager doesn't read the game well at all, when we play with a flat back 5 and don't create anything for 70mintues wtf is he playing at keeping 5 defenders on the pitch?

Chris Wilder doesn't play a flat back five against anyone, to win you need to have some bollocks and away from him Cooks doesn't have any.

More importantly he doesn't read the game, just continues to play the same way regardless of the lack of chances created. Really shameful and feel for anyone who traveled to watch that shit.

Either way, the owners invested a hefty sum of money and will expect improvements. Lowe and Moore (2 league 1 signings) were our stand out players today by a country mile.

They knew how to defend a ball into the box, that was the difference, they were very poor tonight them lot, and that makes things even worse for us sadly. If we make a change then we really need to make a change now.
 
I thought that perhaps Cook would learn from last season but he hasn’t, he seems to have developed an inferiority complex which has transmitted to the players. Some of the players are good enough for this league. They need the right system and the right mentality though. Look at Sheff Utd last season.
 
Brilliant penalty save from Walton tonight. Meanwhile we’ve got the Scottish crab in nets. No wonder they can’t beat the likes of Andorra and Gibraltar with that lamppost in goal. Still folk on here are far too proud to admit they were wrong over Walton.

Kipre is utter shite, beaten in the air AGAIN for the goal. Lowe is great but needs to take his chances. Different game if we score in that first 20 mins. He’ll do well for us this season.

Cook’s third sub utterly baffling. Lowe did nothing wrong. A pointless sub which led to us having to play with 10 men. That’s well and truly on the manager. If Moore is out long term, we’re fucked!
 
No hiding place or excuses for the players or the coaching staff .... another away match shocker.
How can a team be on top in a match and throw it away ?
How can Cedric be so athletic and continue to be so useless defending crosses.

Will be interesting to see if Callum Lang is thrown in at the deep end and starts on Saturday.

Will hoof it up to him and pray for his knock ons to our nearest wigan player half the pitch away, even though he is clearly gifted with the ball at his feet.

Fully agree, Kipre has the size advantage on Assombalonga, whilst tightly marking him. Was a very good header though, last game Forshaw did Dunkley 1 on 1 which was worse, but still how a player at a disadvantage win's inside the box is very poor.

Saw him in food section of M&S of all places yesterday. He’s a big lad. Wasn’t great commanding his box last year but Christ at least he tried unlike the current incumbent. I thought he’d be a decent signing but quite frankly is bloody awful.
