Match Thread: Lincoln City v Burton Albion

Looking at Burton's squad, they look like they've still got some half decent players in there - O'Hara, Bostwick, Brayford, O'Toole, Eardley, Quinn, Atkins etc.

They don't have too bad a options.

That is going to put a lot of pressure on Accy with already a fixture backlog of 3 games now 4. Also is any games are postponed due to weather in the next month or so.

Wonder if the EFL will extend the season by a couple of weeks if games keep getting postponed due to covid?
 
The absence of Sam Hughes is interesting.

With him in the side this season, Burton have conceded 20 goals in 14 games.

Without him, they have conceded 29 goals in 11 games.

Not all down to him of course, but possibly significant.

They're going to have to do something as it's getting silly throw in some bad weather postponements and it could get really messy.
 
I guess they could aim for 2/3 of fixtures to be completed and then use the PPG calculations.

** Lewis Montsma needs 2 goals to reach double figures, and Anthony Scully 3.

** Harry Anderson is closing in on 200 appearances for the Imps: he is currently on 193 including the two FA Cup qualifiers against Guiseley in 2016-17 (which the club seems to ignore); he has scored 30 goals in that time. Only 63 players in the club's history have made more appearances for Lincoln.

It's too bad overall to be fair. Accy and Bristol Rovers have 2 or 3 games in hand but L1's been pretty unscathed until the last week or so.

There are probably 9 or so free midweeks, so plenty of space to fill because Thursday's are needed.
