He's got to go chaps. He really has.

Today showed just how devoid of clue he really is. Without a shadow of a doubt, as we all knew, Grabban and Carvalho were our best attacking force, When he came in, he decided to undo everything that had got us to where we were. A formation and team that had got us to the brink, was forsaken for hoof tactics and old pros. He's not the man to take us forward. He's awful. he needs to go ASAP.

Good to come home without the usual Vital meltdown - though I see there are already people rewriting the past few months.

For the record, we took 5 points from Karanka's last 6 games, Carvalho was rested before MON arrived, and we had no fit CBs. We took 18 points from O'Neill's first 12 games.

Ansarifard did more in the first half than Grabban managed in his past two appearances. Seemed to motivate Grabban when he came on today, though he still failed to take two good chances.

Great team performance today but Carvalho gave us a masterclass.

Rewritting the last few months? Only you have failed to notice how shit it's been. You've clung onto a 20 minute aberration v Hull and really struggled to distinguish reality from your own bizarre fantasy.

The situation when the two managers arrived was utterly different. It's taken him months to work out:

Hoofing it doesn't work
Carvalho is good because you know he can actually pass a ball.
Playing 3 defensive midfielders is idiotic.

The only consistency we've attained is how awful we've been. Let's see if we can actually put a run together, weeks late but we still need it desperately.

It doesn't say a great deal for his footballing IQ it's taken him months to work the above out. Hopefully the penny has dropped but we thought that after Hull but subsequently went on a run Megson would of been proud of

Where were we when AK left? Where are we now? MoN took a side on the brink of the playoffs to mid table obscurity.

He didn’t have to change things, he chose to. Now, when it’s too late, he has changed things back.

He has burnt a lot of bridges and it will take more than one good performance to repair them.

Have FFS, HAVE. You keep sneaking them in you little tinker!

That's the painful part we were really close to actually being a top 6 side, AK had a big injury crisis at the back having to play Yacob and Robbo at cb and we were still competitive and right in the mix. Mon came in first game right 442 and sod passing get it up there asap, didn't work so went for the 3 DM and no carvhallo game after game and the putting square pegs in round holes with no need to. He just needed to get the defence sorted and tweak things, not rip it all up learning about the players which he should of had a reasonable idea of anyway. The players have look confused and lacking any drive, today he got it right but it's taken far too long and it's blown a really positive season apart . If he gets 2 more decent wins actually playing this way maybe he can get us up, but it's still a big maybe.

Exactly!

18 points from 12 was hardly a '20 minute aberration', but carry on believing your spiel.

Good 90 minute aberration today, and some of us can enjoy it without having to resort to twisted explanations like 'we achieved that in spite of our stupid manager'.

First thing you did when you came on was make a snide comment about other forum members. Everyone else was enjoying the performance but not you.

In case you haven't realised that's not an especially great return and the comment was about the quality, but then again apparently you like negative hoofball...

Besides I thought you didn't like statistics?

If MON is so smart why has it taken him so long to abandon 3 defensive midfielders, hoof ball and leaving Carvalho on the bench? Do you want a return to it?

I cannot understand why many in here are using yesterdays performance to attack MON. They are blaming him (instead of the players) for the indifferent form showed in the past months. They attack him because he wasnt playing Carvalho.
I wish to remind you that the formation we played v Villa wasnt much different from the one we started with today, infact many would say that the starting eleven on that day was even better as we had Colback in the team.
Yesterday`s formation was revolutionary, the majority in here were saying that it was like a formation drawn from a bingo bag... it turned out to be a masterstroke...and instead of giving the well done to all those involved, many in here choose to attack MON.
Yesterday`s performance wasnt a follow up of the AK`s last game, before the Leeds game, we went for five games without a win, and apart from the Norwich suicide game (3-3) we could hardly score, so there was no champaine football on offer.
The probability is that on Saturday MoN will start with the same team as the one that started yesterday, with a probable swap between Karim and Grabban. Lets see if there isnt a similar performance or QPR will do a job on us and, again, MoN will get the blame.
For me MoN is not immune from critisism but most of players must look at the mirror themselves, as they are the major culprits of our downward form.
Who knows, maybe some words were said on the weekend and some ultimatums give (to some of the players), and these same players had to react.
And place we have to be careful on the gossip, before the last two games, first we had Milo frozen out (came back and played two good games), and then the frozen out of Robinson (came back yesterday and was rewarded with the captain`s armband, far from being frozen out)...
Fellas we are all Forest fans, let us give MoN time, he is no mug, and pls lets stop with this Jurassic bullshit, again yesterday we showed (from kick off) that we know how to play football on the ground .... rarely there was any hoof ball, and most of the trough balls (especially in the first half) came from Wague and Milos at the back and Pele in the middle...
and what about Ozzys through ball to Karim (the penalty incident)? if it came from Carvalho there would be an uproar here ... pls watch the game again and you will notice that it was in the second half that Carvalho really came to life, in the first half it was the Ozzy`s, Pele and Yates of this world that dominated Boro`s midfield .... in the second half Boro didnt know what hit them and everything started to become simple...
