Injuries 2023/24

Everyone around me at the ground just could not believe the inconsistency and double standards shown by Anthony Taylor. He was an absolute disgrace and any Sunday League referee would be a million miles better. However we have to remember that Anthony Taylor was …….. well, er, Anthony Taylor. He has previous and we got what we should have expected. I’m surprised Timbo has not gone to town on this horrendous example of a ‘referee’. Next time I will say what I think!!!
He has been a disgrace for a long long time .. his ego is far too big for a top ref .

His love for being the star and making up his own laws is legendary …

Mourhinho got sucked in by him , but went over the top in his criticism.

He will always be Anthony fucking Taylor to me .
My heart sinks when I see he is refereeing us .

I'm the same. In my mind Taylor cost us an FA Cup Final appearance.

Sat 18 Apr 2018. Spurs 1 Utd 2.

Taylor was a disgrace that day. He let Antonio Valencia get away with murder on Dele and Son. Their ageing RB should never have made it to half time.

Taylor let Mourinho and his thugs do a number on us. They lost to Chelsea in the final anyway, but that was our year.

It's just rotten luck I think. I can't think of a specialist LB/LWB in the squad either, although I think Brooklyn Lyons-Foster is known to fill in there at times. There was a time when almost every academy player seemed to have their main position, but also played as LB's when needed. Danny Rose was once one of those players (originally a CM.)

Because we bought a player for this position who has taken a squad place for what, 3 years?, who is never fit and was never good enough in any case. The fact he is always injured means we have been unable to sell him and replace with a reliable alternative.

I think LC was being sarcastic......however, imagine being Sessegnon and seeing this opportunity pass you by.

I have some sympathy for his situation but we won't be successful as a club by feeling sorry for someone who has contributed virtually nothing in 3 years or so while picking up at a guess about £7-8m.

No sympathy. But the kid has to be sooooooo frustrated with his body.

I genuinely wasn't on this occasion - it's just a total coincidence that all of our injuries are for left sided players. Historically, Spurs have always struggled on the left. Remember when we had right footed Lee Young Pyo and Tainio on the left? That soon turned into right footed Malbranque and Lennon filling in at times too

It's probably connected to the statistic that 1 in 10 people are left handed, I guess the same applies to left footed people which makes it harder to find them?
