Hull City V Aston Villa: Mon, 6th Aug, Match Thread.

Win is a win, nice little 2 goal margin to boot (as it stands). We all go to bed happy tonight.

We do have a lot of work to do though, Steer has been a busy boy, Hull must’ve have had double figure attempts and a few golden chances - a better team could punish us.

It’s all good though, winning even when not playing great.
 
Well, usual fayre, not great and managed to bag the points. We've played worse. Bruce does have a knack but it is not the beautiful game as we know it.
 
Take the 3 points and happily move onto the next match.

RHM did a lot more in his short time than Kodjia which is encouraging. Barney (save for losing his mind and trying to break someone's leg) should be in the team as he's so much more mobile than our other midfield options. Green needs to be starting every match he can, you can tell his pace/quality will be a massive asset for us should he stay healthy.
 
I think we have a hell of a lot of work to do.

Not a convincing win, think we were lucky to win 3-1.

If we lose grealish, I hope we're able to get top quality players to replace elphick, taylor and a 20 goal / season striker.

We can play much better than that, but winning is all that matters.

I don't think Jack looked emotional or anything, are people reading too much into something?
