BBC Radio 4 Sports Briefing yesterday morning:-
1. PSG v Madrid result
2. Oh and by the way Man City won

BBC Radio 4 Sports Briefing this morning
1. Mo Salah scored Liverpool’s second goal to give them a great chance of qualifying for the Champions League Quarter Finals.
(The other match result not reported).

#we see your bias

Well that’s great just after his team shipped a heap of goals to our title rivals and before we play them when they are likely to have New Manager Bounce

I bet the Sky studio host won’t make much of that unlike how he felt free to comment on how the failure to award a penalty to Everton yesterday wasn’t helpful to Liverpool TMFailed.

Sky announce at the conclusion of extra time in the League (Carabao) Cup final that England will not play international games with Russia at any level for the foreseeable future.
This is good …..BUT the announcement by FIFA immediately afterwards is NOT

“Moments after the FA's announcement, FIFA outlined its own number of "initial measures", which are:

• No international competition shall be played on the territory of Russia, with "home" matches being played on neutral territory and without spectators
The member association representing Russia shall participate in any competition under the name "Football Union of Russia (RFU)" and not "Russia"
Sorry - that last part is just BS and is exactly the same cop out used by the IOC.

Unacceptable IMO. They should not be allowed to compete under ANY name FFS.

Manchester City could face UK government sanctions like Chelsea (ibtimes.co.uk) (link)

This is a stretching things a bit too far to say the Government will sanction City because our Owner has met the President of Syria,

Her Majesty The Queen has met Putin

To spread rumours like that could be very harmful to the Club, had the rumour be that they have supplied Russia with oil. men and arms, is a completely different matter, but these people who write these things are dangerous

I said in the Geopolitics thread .......thus would be the opportunity for more shit stirring by certain media outlets and so it proves.....

("
I think we can expect this to gain some traction as Chelsea friendly media types seek to deflect attention and share the pain")

Chaps, could we please continue this subject on the dedicated thread Geopolitics in Football, in Off Topic.
It’s not just the football media going with It.
