The owner spends like a kid in a sweet shop. He also looks like he's been in one for much of his life!Forest overspent by a mere £34.5m - could happen to anyone...
Yes, when are they going to answer their charges? But the sky blue elephant is still at VERY large.
About ten years timeYes, when are they going to answer their charges?
Guess with the amount of alleged offences (115 ish) the evidence gathering could take months/years. Or it could be that the Premier league hasn't got the balls to take action against one of 'the big boys'. Instead, let's go after easier targets Everton, Forest.Yes, when are they going to answer their charges?

The situation absolutely stinks.
I suspect it will just get bogged down in blue tape.As i understand it the evidence has been gathered and now City are putting together a legal team of epic proprtions to prepare for the hearing. It seems this could take a couple of years at least.
When Russia is accepted back into polite society.Yes, when are they going to answer their charges?
Our youth team appear to be based near Scunthorpe. That’s where the play all their home gamesIt's a bizarre move by Da Yong. Allegedly trying to sell the Club, but this has caused the main prospective purchasers to pull out. He's playing silly games by breaking up the assets. What a fiasco.
Also a bit odd that Wycombe are going for it as it's 23 miles from Wycombe on the other side of Reading. Would be a bit like us buying a training ground near Scunthorpe.
It cost more than £50 million only five years ago. Even if it sold for half that, where do Wycombe find that kind of money?
They have a base up there with a local youth team. Think it is another area to tap up talent. Our youth team appear to be based near Scunthorpe. That’s where the play all their home games
Bottesford isn't it? They have got good facilities and a tidy little ground for their levelThey have a base up there with a local youth team. Think it is another area to tap up talent.
Exact date TBC but I'm pretty sure I read it's going to be a September 2025 start. As i understand it the evidence has been gathered and now City are putting together a legal team of epic proprtions to prepare for the hearing. It seems this could take a couple of years at least.
It sounds like it has something in the contract that means only Reading can use it, so Wycombe are pulling back. It's a bizarre move by Da Yong. Bit of a weird one with Forest from what I've read because instead of being judged over three seasons as a PL club (allowed a £105m loss?), they're being judged on both EFL and PL seasons.Forest overspent by a mere £34.5m - could happen to anyone...
If it's set for only Reading use I can only thnk that was put in as a requirement at the planning stage to stop a future owner been able to asset strip, in this case it seems to be doing it's job.It sounds like it has something in the contract that means only Reading can use it, so Wycombe are pulling back.
The Reading situation is the kind of example where the Government/FA/EFL should be able to step in and stop the selling of assets just because a bloke now doesn't want to/can't afford to keep them going.
The Regulator is introduced to Parliament today apparently.
There's so much in football that needs to be tightened up, but the Reading example (also see Bury etc) is the sort of thing that needs answers first IMO.

Ironically, the PL want their relegated teams to be judged on PL FFP and not EFL FFP or a hybrid, yet are judging promoted EFL sides on the latter...!
Great if this comes to fruition. Even better if the EFL hands a retrospective red card to Piergiani for his elbow last weekend.Evans possibly in more trouble
