Around the Grounds

sounds like critchley didn't see the incident, says he was expecting a foul the other way.
then says it might fail due to lack of camera angles.
then contradicts this by saying "There's more than enough footage to say that it's not an elbow, violent action or clenched fist. It's just that when you jump, you put your arms in the air."

could he be desperately trying it on for a sympathy vote?

anyone remember, 'good boy, never been sent off' rhodes flying into jensen at their place?

Surprised that Blackpool have announced it - surely better to keep tomorrow's opponents Northampton guessing?

did they get a conveniently quick decision there? to help with the northampton game. pressure again from critchley:
"We need to know because we're travelling," Critchley told BBC Radio Lancashire of his 15-goal top scorer.
"The sooner we know, the better. I was completely shocked by the decision."

makes you wonder who is running the process. the efl, or critchley.

Another Colchester home game off tonight for a waterlogged pitch, if our 'friends' FGR win tonight DC/NC will find themselves in the relegation places. Not finding it easy at all.

Colchester now have 11 games to play in 42 days, 7 of which are at home. That is a lot of games and is the sort of bad luck that can send you down. The damage to the Cowleys' reputation of a relegation to the National League could be career-ending.

Joyous scenes last night as Camberwick Green Rovers are out of the bottom two in division 2. 'Marvellous ' said Dale Whatshisname, ' another promotion, so another star on our shirts, once I find a needle and thread!!'

Torquay go into admin and are deducted ten points.

Meanwhile, Stockport are looking to redevelop Edgeley Park from 11k to 18k!

It's looking worrying for the Cowleys. They've been hit by bad luck: no home game in almost a month and no chance to build momentum. Their record isn't bad (but not good either): 1-6-2 with 6 of those 9 away. Meanwhile FGR are building momentum and reviving under an experienced manager . Colchester don't have an easy run in either (but then neither do Grimsby or FGR - I think Sutton will go).

They really need to get their game against Walsall on this weekend, and to be frank it is starting to look like a must win.
