A political thread 😱 🙈 🙉

Labour doing such a tremendous job that Hartlepool has voted in a conservative MP for the first time in its history
Same could apply to the job Johnson and his mob are doing. Being annihilated in the Chesham and Amersham constituency and Losing a 16,000 majority in the process. This constituency had been Tory since it’s conception

Shush Charlie the tenbob brigade don't wanna know/admit things like what happened in Chesham and Amersham. UTB

Anyone know how Labour did in Chesham and Amersham ? They kept their deposit didn't they ? How embarrassing if they didn't.

The LibDems did what they are good at. Picking up a protest vote against HS2, despite the LibDems voting FOR it, and the growth of housing projects, despite the LibDems being in favour of free migration which produced the need for growing housing projects. A protest vote, no more or less. Normal service will be resumed at the next general election.

It's certainly a lesson for the Tories that they can't take their core voters for granted and big visions and big projects like HS2 aren't always compatible with ordinary folks. Some perspective though, despite Ed the Oaf Davey's clownish theatrics the Lib Dems have just 12 MPs and Labour won just 622 votes, they're heading for Monster Raving Loony territory.

The turnout in 2019 was 56k, this week it was 38k. The stay at home Tories better hope the Lib Dem doesn't get to turn Chesham and Amersham into a mini Mogadishu during her, hopefully brief, tenure there.

Labour lost their deposit due to the switch to LibDem. Less votes than the total party members there.

A protest vote with a 24,000 exchange of votes from the GE

Most (ordinary folks) as you call them don’t want the HS2 project. (Ordinary folk) won’t be using the thing. Complete waste of money for the Ordinary Folk. Would be far better using the money to improve the NHS. Get the red bus back out!!! 😉

You're wrong as usual. the turnout tells the story.

Taking the self serving Bercow into your bosom ? You do know back when he was in the Monday Club he was a supporter of privatising the NHS ?

You're on the fringe of far left politics. You have no idea what ordinary people want and don't want.

Wanted to post this somewhere.

Credit to these guys, fighting for what's right against the prevailing tide of insanity.

Shocked YouTube haven't taken it down yet.

I'm sorry but the anti-vaxers leave me as cold as the anti-lockdowners. The anti-lockdowners are keen on telling us that Covid has been no worse than flu and thats why we didn't need to lockdown. NO YOU MUPPETS, ITS BEEN AS BAD AS FLU BECAUSE WE DID LOCKDOWN. WITHOUT LOCKDOWN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MANY TIMES WORSE. Who would have thought that preventing or slowing transmission of a highly virulent disease would be beneficial.

Just as, who would imagine that reaching a state where a large proportion of the population cant catch it or spread it would get the numbers down. Its just so obvious, I can't get the mental gymnastics and graphs that have been done over the last 18 months to try and argue against it. We can argue about many things, but these two mechanisms are self evident. Why dont these people want them to be true.? Not sexy enough? Not enough lizard creatures? Not enough New world order? 'Look Ma, I'm on Youtube'?
