    Coldest Game Watching Gills

Yesterday was freezing. Despite thick fleece, jumper and polo shirt the strong wind and chill factor made it numbingly cold. 4 pints in Fleetwood social club probably didn't help. Only time apart from Oldham (any game) I've been that cold was Mansfield when Johnny Gayle scored with a thumping...

Peaky Blinders Soundtrack CD Non Gills

Great series and a great soundtrack. Just got the vinyl and CD spinning away as I type. Nick Cave, Bowie, White Stripes, Radiohead, Sabbath, Joy Division to name but a few of the artists. Brilliant imho. Got me wondering as to other people's views on this and their favourite soundtrack...

    Southend Non Gills

I'm glad I'm not a fan. Obviously to be born in Gillingham is an advantage, but no money, winding up order, a very poor team at present and dumped out the cup to a non league team. I do feel for their fans as I'd never want that to happen to us.

Personal Ups and Downs of The Season

Probably a season largely to forget but we remain in League 1, and I'm hopeful we can do something in close season to bolster the squad. Here are a few personal best / worst of's imho Best Home Games - Wigan and Blackburn, showed we could hold our own against the so called big teams, and...

    Bristol Rovers Forum

Had a quick look at their playing ratings, they rated us between 4 and 6.5. Comments of that we were there for the taking, poor, niggly etc. Well, for most of the game whilst we were by no means excellent, I thought we matched them and created the better chances, Eaves hitting post, disallowed...

Sending off yesterday, anyone see the incident?

I was watching the passage of play on our right yesterday so missed the incident at the time, did any one see what their player did to get sent off? I know it's violent conduct so presume an elbow or similar? Can't make it out from TV coverage either. Also, and I said same to Oldham fan after...

M25 Accidents overnight - travel disruption

For any Gills fans coming from further afield, M25 is closed at Junction 23 and near Junction 6 due to 2 serious accidents. A friend of mine is stuck near Clacketts.

Contrast between the 2 Portsmouth games this season

Having sat through both games this season, what a contrast between the home game on Sky and yesterday. Much the same team, clueless, directionless at home to Pompey in October . Yesterday, guts, determination even in the poorish first half epitomised by O'Neill's last gasp tackle on Lowe...

    Season Ticket Books Information

FYI all, just telephoned club to see if ready. Advised not by Ticket Office, and more than likely will not be ready until next week. I presume if not we will get replacement tickets as per Bradford?

    Non Gills Kraftwerk Last Night

Great concert last night at Royal Albert Hall. Apart from Bowie for me best concert I've been to. Enjoyed their music since I first heard Autobahn back in the 70's and the way they presented a best of was impressive. Just wondered what fellow Gills fans think their best concert was.

I'd just like to thank my wife

Our group had an away weekend with our partners in Northampton taking in Silverstone yesterday. Mrs H reluctantly came along today, she is not a football fan. Mrs H. witnessed what I haven't seen in 21 previous away trips this season, a clean sheet. What she doesn't know is she now has to...

    Embarrassing Away Performances

Trying to cheer myself up with a bottle of Malbec and Jesus and Mary Chain Psychocandy on the turntable. Here are 5 wretched away performances I have witnessed in addition to yesterday, no particular order. Any other ideas as I've probably missed a lot. Burscough 3 Gills 2 - truly awful and I...

    Just Back from Rochdale

500 mile round trip for one of the worst, gutless, useless performances I've witnessed in nearly 50 years supporting Gills. Most of us thought we could not lower the bar on performances after Bolton, but we did. Rochdale were on a poor run, yet took us apart with ease throughout the game...

    Gillingham comebacks

I missed the Hereford 5 - 4 game through work. From memory the best comeback that I have been to since being 3 -1 down vs Brentford in F.A. Cup 1984 (?) and winning 5 - 3. A very long drive back for the fans from Scunny.

    Proud to be at Bury

Having witnessed the recent poor (polite description) performances at Coventry and Swindon, we drove up yesterday expecting nothing more than a 2 to 3 nil beating from a team in form and unbeaten in 5. At the end my pride in supporting Gillingham was restored. A committed, backs to the wall...
