Not perfect, but fantastic display given their experience and international caps and with better finishing again we are absolutely clear. Just one of those things as we take the next step to where we want to be.

A shootout is 20 yards with hand guns - a totally lottery, changes nothing but think of the message it sends to our youngsters that they were on and the others coming through that DS was ballsy/dumb/incompetent/naive/brave enough to have such a weak bench and just put his faith in them.

We lost, but that game does more for us than getting through.

Good showing for a game I thought we would lose easily. No disgrace to have that team of youngsters doing so well.
I can see the thought behind the penalty choices. Went with the most experienced. Young was always shit at pens for us. Loved El Ghazi’s pen in response to Kepa the prime turd’s attempt at intimidation.

when you consider they had a 100m striker on at the end a 70m keeper, the boys held their own. Shame Sanson had to come off he was playing well.
