Lamela is back in full training . With Jose's defensive process strategy he is more adept at defending than Son or Moura so it will be interesting to see if he can get into the first 11. He is also in front of Loco, Sess and Ndombele for a place IMO based on how he started the season. I'm not sure he can provide any cover during Sons 3 match ban, maybe as a sub ?

Surely we are due more information on Davies by now. It's been 5 weeks since the injury and the last we heard he was in Qatar. Even that was a couple of weeks back.

Who is likely to break down next ? Toby and Jan both have hammy history. Winks ankle , Alli hammy, Ndombele and Dier are ongoing, Sessegnon although ineffective so far has only just come back from a lengthy lay off. Son is pretty durable but if overplayed gets jaded, we have seen it before.

Let's remember there is a winter break this season. We have 4 more space out fixtures in Jan and only 1 more in Feb before 2 weeks off. Hopefully we can manage through the xmas / NY fatigue. We can then head into mid / late Feb with Hugo and Kane back and perhaps a chance that Davies is close to playing again. Not sure how it will go with Ndombele but if he could be the 4th returning player we would head into March having already played City, Liverpool and Chelsea twice leaving Utd, Leicester and Arsenal all at home. Of course, any Jan signings might be a welcome boost.

If we do anything this season then it will be all about the health of the squad and adoption of Jose's philosophies in the Mar-May timeframe in my opinion.
 
Well just been told that we may well not see Harry before the latter stages of the league....

Hope it's wrong or Jose will be struggling to adopt this approach. If true, all our available funds will be going on another target man!
