The Dark Knight Rises got 9.0 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1345836/

The Dark Knight Rises > The Dark Knight

Because people feel they have to agree with the hype.

its like those 50 shades of grey books, one women raves about it and they all follow suit, when in reality its about a nasty **** who threatens to smash them up if they dont sleep with him - most of the women I know have left me... I mean left men for doing that exact thing.

Cool Runnings. Love it. One of my favourite films ever. Always sends a shiver down my spine at the end.

Loving this LoveFilm malarky. Already watched 3 great films in 2 days. Stand By Me, The Dark Knight and Cool Runnings, and all free!!! :-)

The Dark Knight Rises got 9.0 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1345836/

The Dark Knight Rises > The Dark Knight

IMDB is a remarkably stupid site though, the rating will almost certainly fall over the next year or two as the fanboy-ism dies out.

thats it, over 700k people voted on TDK while only 170k on TDKR - so it will certainly go down but even so its down to the individual.

If anyone can watch that and not be instantly fucked off with Banes voice i'll be surprised.

Yes it always happens, fanboys give it an instant 10/10.

Now, I haven't seen it yet, but what you say doesn't fill me with confidence.

I find Christian Bales Batman voice fucking stupid, so if Bane's voice is annoying then I think I'm in for a bad night.

When Batman and Bale are trash talking each other its like an angry louis spence up against sylvester the cat!

Hardy said he based the voice on an irish romani gypsy fighter.... WHY?

As for Bale, I dont understand the gruff voice with a lisp... ruins it.

I didn't get the gypsy voice. He sounded like an old-school toff to me. I thought the voice brought some gravity to his character and worked well in contrast to his 'look'.

Yesterday evening I watched a film called Hellbender. TBH, I haven't got a clue what it was about other than is was a bit of the supernatural and "gangsters". No stars, definately a B movie and basically rubbish! 2/10

The film earlier this evening was called "Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang". It starred Robert Downey Jnr, Val Kilmer and Michelle Monaghan. Hard to pidgeon hole this one. It was a crime thriller, with added dark comedy at times.
Not a bad film. 6.5/10

me too, think I'll wait for it to come out on sky box office though, not sure I'll make it to the cinema!

Watched a film called The Phantom. Strange one, as it dragged on and on and as it was getting interesting it finishes and you get TO BE CONTINUED on the screen then the credits. Action Comic hits the big screen again... not bad, but frustrating. 6.5/10

Watched a movie yesterday evening called Eastern Promises, starring Viggo Mortensen and Naomi Watts. Based in London, it was a story about the Russian Mafia importing young girls into the UK for prostitution, plus drugs. Probably too close to the truth for comfort, it made compelling viewing, butnot if youwanted cheering up. I enjoyed it. 8/10

Suppose I better put it here as TV is now purely for TV, so here goes.........

I watched Emerson, Lake & Palmer Live At The Royal Albert Hall (1993) earlier this morning.....Most Excellent!

Not quite a film but a dvd instead. If there is somewhere else to put it, I'm sure our venerable leader shall inform.........

Thank You.

Earlier this eveningI watched a movie calledThe Island, starring Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johannson and Sean Bean. Bit of a Sci Fi thriller and cloning and particular a couple of clones who escape into the real world in search of McGregors' real life person. Bit slow and boring for the first 20minutes but worth hanging on for when it gets going. 7/10

Just finished watching Battleship, starring Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgård, Rihanna, Brooklyn Decker, and Tadanobu Asano. It's an alien Invasion science fiction naval war film. It's a bit like Pearl Harbour meets the aliens, but with Americans and Japanese on the same side. Excellent action and graphics. If you like your Sci Fi/Alien invasion stuff, you'll like this. 8.5/10
