After 55 years attending Villa games how do you choose one ?
Well for me, after long deliberation, it has to be Andy Lochhead's goal in FEB '72. Not only was it the winner against one of our big rivals that season, how he seemed to play a one-two with himself by heading the ball up spinning around to bury the ball into the net, at the Holte End of course. I am sure the Holte, if not the whole ground, rose up and levitated in a crescendo of noise that I can still remember to this day.
I also think this was the first 3rd Division game shown on MOTD when there was only one game on, as well as breaking the then attendance record for a Div 3 game.
