If he'd keep his nose out of team matters (hopefully he has leant not to do this in future) and stop being so trigger happy following his own appointments I might warm to him a bit more.
I cannot fault his generosity, just his ownership skills. Just my opinion of course.
Who says he puts his ‘nose in team matters’? There was one clear example, at Hartlepool I think, when he had a rant in the dressing room but that was two or three years ago.
I haven’t seen any managers saying he interferes.
As for sackings...Clement has followed much the same ‘flatter to deceive’ route since and clubs have hardly been falling over themselves to employ McClaren and Pearson since have they?
The three most successful owners in Derby’s history, Longson, Maxwell and Pickering have all had their faults and Morris is no exception but I’d take him over the others any day.
Most of the criticism of MM seems to be based on initial prejudice, contradiction and rumour anyway, imo.
