If he'd keep his nose out of team matters (hopefully he has leant not to do this in future) and stop being so trigger happy following his own appointments I might warm to him a bit more.

I cannot fault his generosity, just his ownership skills. Just my opinion of course.

Who says he puts his ‘nose in team matters’? There was one clear example, at Hartlepool I think, when he had a rant in the dressing room but that was two or three years ago.
I haven’t seen any managers saying he interferes.
As for sackings...Clement has followed much the same ‘flatter to deceive’ route since and clubs have hardly been falling over themselves to employ McClaren and Pearson since have they?
The three most successful owners in Derby’s history, Longson, Maxwell and Pickering have all had their faults and Morris is no exception but I’d take him over the others any day.
Most of the criticism of MM seems to be based on initial prejudice, contradiction and rumour anyway, imo.

I haven’t said you did want him out, OTR. You have wound Angry up elsewhere though.
I’d just like to know why you and he are so opposed to Morris. Just seems to be doing his best for the club to me...it all takes time and mistakes have been made but they’re by no means all Morris’. I’ve never met the man by the way...no axe to grind either way.

I may get to like him eventually, I don't know, but up until now I have not been impressed with the way he has handled things within the club since he took over. Given time if he learns from his mistakes and becomes less trigger happy I may change my views about him.

Sad but true.
On a personal front, I'm afraid I have to take a leave of absence from forming myself.
A very serious issue has arisen in my personal matters and I must spent every energy I have to address it.
It requires me to change several aspects of life and as such, among 1 of them is to disappear for while for reflection and remedy.
So while this is not a parting shot, I really wish you guys and this forum well.
Hopefully when I return around WC 2018, the place is bouncing.
Until then, as they say in France À bientôt!

Talking of Brexit, On a honest note, do you think things are going better than remoaners predicted.

We "was wronged"? I think the American influence is getting to the former English teacher in you!! Its a tricky one but I contend that there are multiple subjects notwithstanding the bracketology.

I'm not sure I would go back there even if ban lifted, as a point of principle, and I am quite sure Bloomer wouldn't. The lure of a soul mate might tempt MA though

Must admit, I did wonder about that, and decided, possibly wrongly, that you were the single - unbracketed - subject. Unfortunately that only succeeded in leaving MA feeling left out so...to clarify...maybe, instead of apologising, Andy would be better off having the unfair ban on you, MA and Bloomer lifted so that MA could enjoy both sites, you and Bloomer could enjoy the high moral ground and I could post freely and guiltlessly on FM as well as here.
Is that better?

We weren’t, but seeing as you bring it up...again...we do have, much to Stenson’s displeasure, a Brexit thread of our own over here and...on an ‘honest note’...no, I don’t. They may be going slightly less badly than was originally thought but the whole process still seems completely unnecessary and barking mad to me.
