In defense of QAnon, I think even they would distance themselves from Pledge's comments.
I've taken an interest in the culture war for years and often have an idea of the backstory of anything being dismissed as a conspiracy theory by the media, but even I have zero idea what he is going on about.

The bit I don't get with the flat earthers is so what. Even if they are right then why does it matter if the earth is a globe or a disk. Whose gained by lying to us about it. What was gained ?
Normally people lie to gain something. If there's nothing to be gained then no motive to lie.
Plus why doesn't the water slosh over the sides if it was flat and why does it get dark if the side of the disk we are on faces the sun all the time.

A. There is no Flat Earth Conspiracy. NASA is not hiding the shape of the earth from anyone. The purpose of NASA is not to 'hide the shape of the earth' or 'trick people into thinking it's round' or anything of the sort.
There is a Space Travel Conspiracy. The purpose of NASA is to fake the concept of space travel to further America's militaristic dominance of space. That was the purpose of NASA's creation from the very start: To put ICBMs and other weapons into space (or at least appear to). The motto "Scientific exploration of new frontiers for all mankind" was nothing more than a front.

A. Day and night cycles are easily explained on a Flat Earth. The Sun moves in circles around the North Pole. When it is over your head, it's day. When it's not, it's night. The light of the sun is confined to a limited area upon the Earth. The picture below illustrates how the sun moves and also how seasons work on a Flat Earth. There are several potential theories* for the apparent effect of the Sun's rising and setting.

What we do know is that it encircles the earth and serves to hold in our oceans and helps protect us from whatever lies beyond.

I've seen that Ice Wall on the tele. It was "oop north" somewhere and people had to defend it from the "northerners" who had a ginger girl who I found very attractive. But then this other girl who had dragons came along and then it got really confusing.
