One Bloody Number
So we buy him back for more money if they go down wtf
Well yes, buy back clauses are always higher than the fee paid.

I think this guy has misunderstood a few things. The buyback clause will not just be active if they go down it will be there regardless of what happens to them.Sheffield United strike £18m deal to sign Cameron Archer
Sheffield United are ready to finalise a complex deal to sign Aston Villa' Cameron Archer this week it seemswww.sheffieldunited.news
Hope somebody clarifies thatI think this guy has misunderstood a few things. The buyback clause will not just be active if they go down it will be there regardless of what happens to them.

Archer is clearly a lot better than Watkins was at the same age, Watkins was pottering around at Exeter after all. Archer for me is better 'naturally' than Watkins but he is not yet near Watkins' level. Archer will develop a lot more with first team football than our bench.
Keeping him on our bench will stunt his development. If however we can basically loan him out to Sheffield United for a couple of seasons then we can buy him back for an agreed price and get a better player back for it.That's what 57 was talking about yesterday. Archer might be England's number 9 when he is 27 but he isn't there right now and it will take years of work to get there. We don't have time to wait for him to get there and he can't be hanging around on our bench until he is 25.
Why would we have a buy back clause only if they go down? It makes no sense.Alan Nixon, not a very good source

I'd very much doubt that's the only element of our buyback clauseSo we buy him back for more money if they go down wtf

Irrelevant as they have about as much chance of staying up as Villa have of winning the quadruple.I think this guy has misunderstood a few things. The buyback clause will not just be active if they go down it will be there regardless of what happens to them.
Sheffield United will be stopping up then.Irrelevant as they have about as much chance of staying up as Villa have of winning the quadruple.
plenty of opportunity for game time and surely the development prospects are better being coached by Emery than whoever manages sheff utd (or burnley for that matter).Keeping him on our bench will stunt his development. "" Out of the 25, eight places are reserved exclusively for "locally trained players" or homegrown players. Out of the eight, not more than four can be "association-trained players [denoted by * below]" and the rest must be "club-trained [denoted by ** below]". ""I get the logic of using the academy as a cash cow to provide funds for the first team. But what I really don’t get is how we’re going to manage around the European squad rules on home grown players. If we sell Archer, Philogene + Aaron Ramsey has gone already then it’s not like we can replace them with better players, because we’re already over the permitted squad limits as it is and that’s before you start removing the home grown slots which we would no longer be able to fill. Unless we leave several senior players out of the European squad, which seems unnecessarily messy
So we’re just ignoring Coutinho and Bailey…? Also assuming Mings and Buendia are out for the season not just 6-7 months and therefore the club is planning to de-register them for the entire season, maybe that is the case but at the moment it’s not confirmed."" Four homegrown, four club grown can be included in the 25. If you don't have four club grown, your maximum squad size is 21. If Ramsey is our only club grown player, our maximum registered European squad size will be 22, with anyone under 21 this year able to play without registering.
Martinez*, Olsen; Cash*, Chambers*, Konsa*, Carlos, Torres, Moreno, New LB; Kamara, Dendoncker, Douglas Luiz, Tielemans, McGinn, Zaniolo, Ramsey**; Diaby, Watkins*, Duran, Traore
That makes 20, leaves two more spaces free for any more new signings who can be foreign.
