His performances against Leeds and Southampton are two of the best I've seen from a Villa player, definitely since promotion anyway. If he'd managed to get to that level of fitness again Unai could have done something with him.

He ran the show in those games. What the hell happened?
I know he got injured later that season but it's hardly an excuse for his rapid decline.

What could have been..
I remember seeing him live for 2 games..I think it was Brighton and Leeds but my memory is shit.
I do remember saying to my dad, I can't believe we've got such an amazing player. A true world class player.
