The Owners & CEO Thread

Suppose it all points to the North Stand again but maybe it’s a case where no matter what you do it hurts someone and the only solution is expansion.

I’m living in the past I keep forgetting we’ve got like 33,000 season ticket holders.

Edit: I guess this is the consultation process that’s needed. If they’re hell bent on expanding revenue at the ground. Do you say look your season ticket can stay the same but you’re getting moved 50 seats down.

Playing devils advocate here of course. At the end of the day I’m on the side of the fan. I think you need to pull every other lever before you start messing with the community.
Another thing they could look at is all the foundation staff having 2 seats in the North Upper, the majority of them don't even support the Villa, plus the other freebie tickets they give away to players etc. There must be 1000 there they could make "special seats"
These were practices they set up to boost attendance when times were hard, we don't need them now as the tickets that they give away would sell these days

I'm surprised the foundation staff still get free seats. I was recently talking to a long time Villa staff member who has had the free ST withdrawn at the start of this season. They were offered a discount of approx. 40% instead.

Interesting talk from Brazil that our owners are attempting to buy Vasco Da Gama. They've had a bit of a troubled few years and we're relegated a couple of years ago but they are one of the great clubs of South America.

They're also where Doug and Coutinho started their careers and supposedly where Coutinho's going after leaving us so our owners might end up paying his wages anyway.

Hopefully this would give us an leg up in getting a few talented youngsters as Brazil tend to have a few knocking around.

Still seems pretty good to me, they had it really good when free. Most companies give their staff a discount of some sort and 40% off a ST is very good.

Well hopefully they take Courtinho for £80m

Sorry, I'm always thinking the worse but cannot help thinking of how there billionaires keep hold of their money, they are very good at evading the tax man! I'm always half empty....

I can see a lot of football club owners waiting with baited breath to see the outcome of the legal case against cit£h. If they get away with it then it will either become a free for all or clubs breaking away from the PL and breaking the cartel.

Vasco are a decent sized club in Rio, with access to some amazingly talented players. The obvious benefit is they can nurture some of these Brazilian wonderkids and sell them on to us. I wouldn’t be expecting it to be for peanuts though, we’d probably still have to pay the going rate, just get first dibs on them.
