The Official Steve Bruce Thread

“We rely too much on individual moments from players” is football for goodness sake! That’s what creative players do! They are unpredictable and come up with moments that help win games! Do you think Pep’s “style of play” would work if he had predictable individuals? Maybe, just maybe, the individual brilliance of DeBruyne, Silva, Sterling etc has got them a few goals this year....

You have completely misunderstood this and used the best team in the premier league to prove it. 9 out of 10 teams do not have these players so how do they score? They have a game plan and focus on playing to their strengths. We do that as well but how many times have we been bailed out by some brilliance from range or a late dash into the area when the ball breaks.

Its part and parcel of them game but they wouldnt be moments of brilliance if they happened for every single goal or even for half of the goals. Bruce has a assembled a team that gives us that potential game winner but some of these game winners don't necessarily contribute fully to our game on the field.

Steve Bruce's mom has passed away.

Just feel for the bloke so much. He's been through hell these last few months and still remains dignified and professional and continues to do great things at Aston Villa.

RIP Mrs Bruce.

How rough is that. It must be an awful time for him. Hopefully we can give him something to smile about.

Very sad news.

To lose both parents in such a short space of time must be so hard to deal with. My thoughts are with him.

You have to give credit to Bruce's professionalism over the last few weeks.

What a rough a few months for him, with Sunday’s game not meaning anything surely he can have the weekend with family or just away from the job for a bit.

The last few months sure has been a tough time for Steve losing both parents within a few months of each other.

sincere thoughts of condolence to Steve, family, and friends.

Let's hope the team can finally gain promotion in the playoffs and bring some cheer to SB and the club:utv:

To lose both of your parents in such a short space of time must be completely devastating. Can't even imagine how it must feel.

Condolences to him and his family.

Condolences to Steve and his family. The way he has conducted himself during these traumatic few weeks has been admirable.
My deepest sympathies are with him.

Losing one parent is tough enough but to lose them both within a couple of months must be so difficult to cope with. The way Steve Bruce has handled the pressures of the job with the tragic circumstances of his private life is testament to the man's character. The fact that he'll be on the touch line on Sunday for a game which has nothing riding on it, says it all.

He's lost his mom and dad in quick succession, tough and hopefully we will give him something that they would both be proud of.
