Genuine question....but how come Walsall are in the Southern side of the draw yet Villa are in the Northern side? Isn't Walsall technically further north than Aston?

It's an aberration that happens at points to try and separate sides under the guise of bigger clubs meeting smaller clubs. Can't remember the year, but it wasn't that long ago we were drawn in the Southern from memory - they like to avoid perceived derbies early on if they can is the short answer.

Just asked the wife if she fancies a night out in Bolton next week. She said yes no wonder i married her. The lower Tier are nearly all gone and they are selling some of the upper now.
 
Wouldn’t be surprised if this is on tv. Sky will be sniffing a potential upset

Bolton Wanderers against Aston Villa and Tranmere Rovers versus Newcastle United in Round Two of the Carabao Cup have been selected for broadcast by Sky Sports.
Bolton, who overcame Salford City in Round One, will host Steven Gerrard's Villa on Tuesday, 23rd August (kick-off 7.45pm).
