Haven't we just lost a few of the players who got us into the finals though. I hope we can still put out competitive squads.

You're right, we have ...... but let's hope there are others who can step into their shoes.

With those who have been sold (to make ends meet), together with thise who have had to be released (to get them off the squad list, so we could bring in new players) that bloody awful admin episode did it's damndest to ruin our club.

Thankfully, it didn't.

Let's hope that our Academy continues it's wonderful achievements of recent years, but this time, is afforded the opportunity of getting the lads into the 1st XI, and really showing that the whole project is well worth the effort.

I doubt that their new clubs would allow it, they probably would not be covered by their insurance.

Hopefully if we win their medals would be honoured if they have played a significant number of games.

It seems the Academy staff are just as focused and committed as they were before the awful events of last year.

Let's hope they can continue the good work, but this time, succeed in making the transition from Academy to U18/U23 to fist team squad something more of a production line.
