Soldier hacked to death in Woolwich

I thought Russell Brand's article on this horrible crime was good:

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/features/4942468/Blame-this-on-madnessnot-on-Muslims.html

Its all very nice and liberal, but he is completely wrong in what he says, and why? because he hasn't read the quran.

To be a true muslim, you need to follow TO THE LETTER what it says.

I don't think anyone has a problem with the muslims that are making tea for the EDL or condemning these crimes, the reality is, these arent muslims, they are humans who live a certain way, that is described as islamic, it isnt, but it makes them feel better to call themselves that.

Its is crystal clear in the doctrines what it is to be a muslim(or any other religion) but you often get new forms of it (just like the LDS) who bastardize the original text to suit their new found lifestyle.

The bottom line is, every single person on the planet is different and lives their lives in a way that is unique to them (im assuming VOTN drinks hot drinks, which his doctrine forbids for example) however people are very quick to align themself with a specific department of life and the majority unfortunately are incorrect.

Im a heroin addict. Im proud of that. My family is proud of that. and my children will also be heroin addicts.
Ive never taken heroin, but thats just my interpretation of the 'Class A gospel'
Im going to ignore all the bits about taking heroin but live a peaceful life of lazing about watching shit tv.

Just like Christianity, people call themselves christian, they pray, go to church dont eat fish on certain days but sex before marriage? no thats open to interpretation. oh and the stoning of women who refuse to marry their rapists? oh no we dont do that, its open to interpretation. Nope, no it isnt, its there in black and white, you dont get to choose.

Just like Islam, people call them selves muslims, they live as a muslim with the headgear and the praying, but oh no, we dont do the beheading and killing of infedels - well im sorry my friend, thats not the rules, what you are is in fact a happy, friendly human who for some reason wants to hold on to outdated fairy tales for tradition because it makes you feel safe and worthy.

Jesus, what happened to Nickelback?

They used to be my favourite band as a teenager, now they suck a fat one.

Heres a little nostalgia, for a big group hug.... :115:

I never knew you were keen on Wahhabism. :40:

There are many different versions of Islam, just as there are different versions of Christianity. The Wahhabists are the Afghanistan type who follow a very literal version of Islam, something like the Amish or one of those very small minority groups who are at the very extreme end of the scale.

In my experience, most Muslims are similar to modern Christians, trying to live their lives in the modern world and balance that with what's in their religion. Very many of them pay lip service to it because they don't believe in it but could be arrested for disobeying their religion.

Like I say, its not the religious people I have any issue with, its the controlling powers that exploit them.

What needs to happen is a global revolt against this oppression and let people live their lives as they choose, not as they are told to choose, and not fearing punishment or retribution from either a very real liar here on earth, or a very unreal all seeing-all powerful-all judging deity.

This is very similar to my feelings, People can believe in who and what they want too in life, but its the peopleat the top who end up exploiting the religion and get greedy influencing things to there own advantage,

I think the day when all people just live there lives and go about doing things they feel is right from wrong listening to there own inner selves will be the day peace has a chance on earth tbh

Nickleback made some good songs, there new stuff is a bit poor, but the song photgraph ain't too bad, they seem to have gone a bit soppy luv songy lol

Drummer Rigby's family called for calm as the Queen met army personnel during a visit to the barracks near where he died on 22 May.

In a statement, his family said his friends' different cultures and religions "made no difference to Lee".

All I can say is how strong have his family been? What a wonderful and reassuring message from them.

Whilst it is no solace for Lee's family, wouldn't it be fantastic if this event led to a modern peace between Muslims and the UK population.

The Woolwich Mosque opened it's doors to the public today, and by all accounts it was a great day for all. Muslims condemned this terrorist act and showed how much like the rest of us they are. They are not a foreign species - just a people caught in the middle of a battle nobody can win.

An additional worry in all of this is the exploitation of this very specific, very heinous act by the EDL. The major concern for the government is not Islam or Muslims, but the radicalisation of young disenfranchised men by extremist clerics.

In opposition to this you have that worthless oaf leading the EDL and doing what? Effectively mobilising young disenfranchised men. Different skin colour, different set of values ( although I'd love to know what he EDL stands for, could do with a laugh), but having the same effect: the loudest voice in the room hypnotising weak-minded fools. Thou shalt do this, thou shall not do the other. Seen this all before haven't we...?

Scary times

now this idiot should be taken around a corner and shot.

just have to see how good daves word is now about kicking them out of the country, something that gets my gripe going is the fact they hate non muslims, want to change everything to suit themselves, hates this country .... and yet takes every penny from the welfare state whilst those who have served for the country get punished by the pen pushers, just not right at all.

Saw it on the front of the Sun in the paper shop this morning i was going fucking ballistic it really does boil my piss but i'm afraid Cameron is like Blair shit scared of Europe.

Is Chaudary British born? If so then where should he be deported to?

As for what he has said, yes it is disgusting but in the UK there is something called the right to free speech, as long as he is not libelling anyone or defaming anyone's character then the only other option to use the law against him is on an incitement charge. Dead people can't be defamed or libelled in law so incitement is the only option. Is he actually encouraging anyone to do anything in his comments? Not that I can see.

Sadly I can't see that the law can do anything in this case. It has nothing to do with weak leadership/politicians and everything to do with the rule of law, a law that most of the time we all support as it allows us freedoms.

Chaudary has been very careful with the wording of his bile, he's clearly either not stupid or very well advised.

Please stop with that crap. Islam is a hateful oppressive doctrine.

You couldn't be further from the truth

Islam is a peaceful religion

It is the idiots who hang on the coat tails of Islam and radicalize fragile minds

The vast majority of Muslims are loving people who were sickened by this incident

In direct contradiction to the Bible of course, which has no messages of violence whatsoever. :83: :83:

That has got absolutely nothing to do with this?

Well, yes it has. Does the fact violence is a large part of the Bible story mean it encourages Christians to go on a killing spree? Not in general - no.

It's the same with the Qu'ran. A small minority use the passages to incite violence, but most Muslims don't act upon it.

It's like saying everyone that has seen pornography is a rapist.
