So who would you like to see us sign ?

Ive read a lot about players we should keep but think we need to be brave here, it's really tempting to hope that players will continue me good when they have gotten us where we are currently. I would like us to rebuild the core, two new centre mids a must, dominant CB and a striker. Definitely keep Britt and brereton, the rest I am so so about. I can see why he has resigned Cohen and mancienne but hope as utility multi position players rather than definite starters. And there will obviously be others kept, as they can't buy a whole new team, but I think with a new midfield others may well be allowed to play better.

As for players, don't know enough about the lower leagues but think that's where we will find hungry talented players, just need to know where to look. That and possibly an out of favour proven striker, anyone could see Murray was a good acquisition last year, the are around, but again it's knowing your onions. I am just hoping this is not another false dawn and Mcparland and warbs know there stuff.

Vibe, Jota, Tom Lawrence, Josh Vela, Jackson Irvine, Lee Gregory, John Ruddy, Mooy, Flint, Danny Ward and Aidan McGeedy all spring to mind. Obviously not all of them but proven quality players at this level.

I've had a few days to consider I've go into my FactChecker account to make sure everything is accurate and I think we should be signing.

De Gea as back up/replacement for Smith.

Jerome Boateng for CB as Millz and Hobbz are injury prone, Woz is still learning and I think he'd pair well with Mancz.

N'Golo Kanté to replace Vaughan.

Lionel Messi to add some experience to midfield (though his size does trouble me as he may be league 1 standard at best)

Karim Benzema would compliment Brittz and Brez as well IMO.

I think with that spine to the team we should be able to put aside any fears of further relegation battles and start looking up for a change, as long as we get some luck with injuries. New owner needs to show ambition FFS. TALK IS CHEAP.

This is type of player we should be signing next few years

According to reports Erhun Oztumer being targetted from Walsall.

"Plenty of clubs have been keeping an eye on the 5ft 3inch midfielder."

How can a player that small ever be good enough for the Championship?

Dubbed the ‘Turkish Messi’, Oztumer has scored some stunning efforts this term and joined Walsall from Peterborough United last year. Before that, the 25-year-old scored over 60 goals in two seasons for non-league Dulwich Hamlet.

Rowetts offered 3m for watkins apparently

Turkish Messi ? To small for championship in my opinion just like clough and Benny O , honestly exactly the type of player we should be signing top young players from lower leagues with a point to prove , most of the time we have splashed the cash on a tol lg1 player recently it has worked out ok Britt,Clough ,Cohen and patto are just a few , every time we invest in a PL squad player we have a nightmare Hobbs, Fryatt . It seems MW and F Mc know how to build a squad so i will not be critical of and unknown gems that can be unearthed.

Way back when everyone was first pushing for us to get Leadbitter, I put forward that it was his midfield partner Clayton we should be after instead. As its turned out, Clayton has been the ever present for Boro this season while Leadbitter has slipped to the margins. I would much prefer us to try and prise Clayton away in the summer, though probably unlikely. Leadbitter would still be a very effective championship player though I guess.

Now that Hull are down, what about Dawson to steady the back and be a mentor to Worrall?

I'd love us to go and nab Jordan Graham from Wolves and Bakary Sako from Palace!
Yeah I suppose Marinakis could possibly be interested in this Bakary!

Well Dawson would be at home here - yet another broken biscuit to add to our collection.

Leadbitter would transform this Forest side - he would plug the attitude and leadership gap we are missing, and he's also a very good player.

I know Hardy has pointed out that he barely got a kick last season and was ousted by Clayton - but personally I don't feel Clayton is Leadbitter's equal. I think it was a huge error that Leadbitter - like Jordan Rhodes - wasn't given a fair crack of the whip up in the Prem. I think Boro would have done much better with these two in their side. They chose to jettison their best two players - it didn't exactly work out!

If boro don't want either of them, I'd take Rhodes too if I must! But I imagine they will be building their team around these two next season. I would be if I were them.

If somebody can sort Lee Tomlin out he'd be a star too. He's not out of our reach, and IMO there's nobody better in the league when he's on form.

IF.

He reminds me of Lee Trundle.
Outstanding ability but a bit of a maverick.
Bit of a throwback to the 70's type of star player in that respect.
I'd be happy to see him at Forest but he's definitely a bit of a gamble, it could be worth the risk though.
