There is a certain amount of power being in crippling debt. Your creditors can't afford to let you fail.

Manchester United have been waiting a while for that.
Anthony Martial last scored for United in their 9-0 win over Southampton at the beginning of February.
It was an excellent move and a good finish.
United top of the table as it stands.
 
A far cry from the days when we had to sell our talented young players.

I still remember my disappointment when City were playing a pre-season friendly and the news broke that SWP wouldn't feature....because I knew this signalled his predicted move to Chelsea. Great that we resisted and a testament to how highly this young man is regarded.

For me it was Barnes and Owen moving to WBA because 'Big' Mal wanted to create a side in his own image, probably would have been a better side if he'd simply kept the players he inherited but made them play wearing camel skin over coats, fedoras and smoking cigars.
