Robinson linked with AC Milan

Not sure if this is a genetic or progressive condition but it would seem strange that neither Everton or Latics had picked it up previously.
Hoping for a full and swift recovery.

I suffer from the same, well similar, it was picked up when I went for a pre op for a small routine surgical procedure and they did a standard ECG test on me, three years or so prior to that I had a full and extensive medical with the new private health insurance policy we had been enrolled in at work, the irregular heartbeat did not show then.

The heart specialist I saw when it was discovered seemed to think it could have happened because of a virus I had been treated for that made me seriously I'll for a week or so between the medicals.

I do not have Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, and nothing in Robinsons press release says he has either, I have atrial fibrillation which is an extra heart beat from the bottom chamber, this can cause the heart to pump too much blood into the top chamber leaving small amounts behind that could clot when the top chamber pumps the blood to my body. Wolff White is completely different to my condition and does not occur all the time it comes and goes, electrical impulses in the heart cause it to flutter instead of the extra beat I have, they are both corrected by the same method.
Anyone who knows me knows I have been overweight for much of my adult life and because of this the coronary care dept at wigan chose not to the procedure to treat it, instead I take warfarin to thin my blood.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned that Italian medicals have become extra diligent after a player died of a heart issue not so long ago. So that could be the explanation and if that is true if it wasn't for Milans interest he may have remained undiagnosed.

Something like this shows up on a simple ECG, I would be horrified if I found that an ECG is not part our clubs medical checks on any prospective new player and they did not look at the health of the players heart as well as other parts of their body.

Nothing that has been said says what condition Robinson has, it is under the broad group of conditions know as Arrythmia some are genetic and some can develop without any outward signs.

Wolff Parkinsons White syndrome is one that is intermittent and unless it happens at the precise moment of a heart examination, testing, no matter how stringent may not pick it up.
